Looking 4 TATTOOED gang members in L.A. for NEW BOOK

Unread post by Permanence » December 19th, 2006, 11:38 pm

We're producing a new book entitled Permanence: Tattoo Portraits by Kip Fulbeck.

This book has full page photos of hundreds of tattooed people along with their own handwritten statements about their ink.

If you've got some gang tattoos and want to put up your graff skills this is the place. We shoot in L.A. all the time so EMAIL US

Other people in the book: Pornstar Tera Patrick, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell, Rockstars Slash (Guns N Roses) and Scott Ian (Anthrax), Comedian Margaret Cho, along with Hells Angels, Iraq War veterans, gangbangers, etc.

Too bad you didn't research. All people behind book are heavily in tattoo scene. No Hollywood. No big money behind book. It's about love of ink.

I'm surprised Tera's BF let you guys get close enough to take pics and talk to her. The guy is a bit of a wiener when it comes to her. The book sounds pretty cool though, I enjoy a look into the thinking behind some other peoples ink. That seems to be the idea of this book, not a Hollywood type "Wooo look at the scary gang member from the inner city!" but a look at what these gang members get done and why. If you got room in your book I'd be more then happy to talk about my ink though I don't fall into any of thotse categories of Hells Angel, war veteran, gang member or pornstar.

It's an aight idea; but, personally, I would never "publish" my tat's. I don't want other Nicca's picking up a book & bittin' off my original shit.

To this day, I ain't neva' seen a cat with' the same shit I got & i'm gon' keep it that way.

P.S. You wanted REAL gangmembers to be involved in this "project?" They ain't gon' "broadcast" they tat's like that, homie.

If someone is going to do a book about tattoos, I would participate and be more involved with it, if they had a track record in the field. Does anyone know if this guy has tats, and if he has been in the field, or is he a journalist?

i will still look into your track record. Why you did this book, how much money the participants received as opposed to you, and if you even have a history of dealing with or spending time with people in this culture.

I am sure 500 thousands visitors every month to streetgangs.com would like to know.
