Does it matter under what eye you have it?
that is a good question. i want to know that too. because the folks i hang with, have them on both eyes. i mean they will either have it under the left or right eye. so i wonder if it matters.
Does any one knows?

Yeah well contodo respeto(with all do respect) the older homboys pushing 60 years old have confired that the tear drop originated among the female zoot zuiters around the 40s who would wait for years for their husbands or boyfriends(interestingly ialso heard of a few gang related mothers of homeboys who wore it for their sons who were locked up instead of their husbands) while they were locked up or dead...after the homboys started using it when they got locked up for the time they were away from their familys and eventually it morphed into the deatha homboy, to nowadays usally a murder commited or death of an individual but the original meaning and other can still today hold true(anybody oppose to this dnt try to get at me from wat you seen n a documentary or seen on the tv dnt even tryme gee if you an older head n got point facts por favor regulate)
Gracias,
Smiley

now a days the teardrop under the eye has different meaning, i guess it depends on the person and race. i have a teardrop under the eye and its in memory of my dead homeboys which i grew up with. the most common meaning is for killing somebody or for a dead homeboy.
