Hollywood Shuffle (1987)
An actor limited to stereotypical roles because of his ethnicity, dreams of making it big as a highly respected performer. As he makes his rounds, the film takes a satiric look at African American actors in Hollywood.

This is not really a gang movie (although it speaks on it), more like a hood movie but I found it real good with a real good subject. A subject even more alive today with all the BS that's in the rap industry and in the movies. I was just zapping and fell on this movie late at night, real honest and funny too. I suggest everybody to check it out. It's almost feels as if Ice Cube took some lessons from this movie before making his Friday or Barbershop.

oh man that movie is too funny... i almost forgot about it... i guess its been 10years since i last watched it...
in one scene he wants to kill some dude with some slippery liquid on the ground so the guy falls but doesnt die. instead he invents a new break dance move...
