Well, 1st thing he should do is stop being a republican. 2nd, stop lying to the public about the war in iraq and why you went to war. Admit WMD's never existed.JayDee wrote:typical ignorant response. what does he need to do to be black enough? wear braids? speak like an uneducated thug?se11 wrote:im blacker than colin powell.
why should he stop being a republican?SkoobyDoo wrote:Well, 1st thing he should do is stop being a republican. 2nd, stop lying to the public about the war in iraq and why you went to war. Admit WMD's never existed.
and he adamantly opposed the war behind the scenes. he eventually supported bush publicly, but he never endorsed his actions.

Colin Powell is one of the biggest low lives their is in this world. First of all he lied to the world about Iraq having WMDs and that was not even his most evil act.
In 1968, as a staff army major in Vietnam, Colin Powell played a direct role in suppressing the inquiry into the My Lai massacre, and into related atrocities against civilians in Vietnam and not mention he tried to cover up the Iran-Contra affair.
If you guys respect liars and someone who lies for the government then by all means look up to Colin Powell.

like i said, he did that because it was his job; he never believed it. you might find that deplorable, but its a fairly well known fact that he heavily opposed bush and cheney leading up to the war.Dr. Gonzo wrote:Colin Powell is one of the biggest low lives their is in this world. Yeah that's why, I have zero respect for him. He knew he was lying but he didn't have the balls to resign or tell the world that Bush was full of shit.JayDee wrote:like i said, he did that because it was his jobDr. Gonzo wrote:Colin Powell is one of the biggest low lives their is in this world. I THINK IS BETWEEN A WOMAN OR AN ATHEIST,
WITH A 3RD PLACE RUNNER UP - A MIXED RACE PERSON.
BUT ANY ONE OF ALL THE ONES LISTED ABOVE WILL MORE
THAN LIKELY COME FROM EITHER THE LIBERAL "DEMOCRATIC" PARTY
OR SOME NEW COALITION PARTY.
THE ONLY ONES FROM THE LIST ABOVE TO REALLY HAVE A CHANCE
UNDER THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, WOULD BE A MIXED RACE HISPANIC
-LIKE A TEXAN OR A CUBAN.

Most Americans still hold to Christian Fundamentals, but they are far from being dedicated Christians in this day and age. Today the label of being a Christian exempts many from social elite groups which practice a more moderate secular form of capitalist politics which has no need for religion. Today politicians play on Christianity and religious values only for the votes they need to get into office, but more and more we see those religious values being questioned, and slowly but surely they are being relegated to history with the on-going battle that church & goverment are not to be in the same place at the same time. The population of atheist and naturalist, not to mention the non-denominational & the new age groups who ask the question of Who knows who or what God is or isn't? continues to add large numbers of the so called "educated" ones to their numbers.
Look at Europe and its continuing fall out from Christianity, look north to Canada, look at liberalism, it all points to a relinquishing of old values and the embracing of a freedom from anything that dictates a moral concious affiliated with religious values, the new trend is towards self fulfillment and development of intellect and science as the answer to human problems, which has no need for God and relies on genes & cells - sounds familiar? Scary but true, an Atheist President is on the horizon, and even scarier if the fact that Christian Fundamentalists will allow it to happen.

True. Most European presidents and Ministers only declare Pro Forma that they believe in God(if they do at all).lonewolf wrote: Look at Europe and its continuing fall out from Christianity, look north to Canada, look at liberalism, it all points to a relinquishing of old values and the embracing of a freedom from anything that dictates a moral concious affiliated with religious values, the new trend is towards self fulfillment and development of intellect and science as the answer to human problems, which has no need for God and relies on genes & cells - sounds familiar? But many of them do not attend church or are not related to it in any way.
But also, most people i know do not care, because Europe is full of Atheists or just slightly religious people. More in the north, than in the south though.
