Without a doubt Belfast, just look at the murder &crime rate, no-where else in Europe compares with it per head of population, even look at the weapons they have there, it's a known fact the IRA possess SAM missiles.

Here's what I heard: Most cities in Europe aren't as dangerous as American big cities in terms of violent crime and murder and that Naples is the most violent as in 300 murders a year. But I got all this second hand.

Limerick city in south west Ireland beats Dublin/London/Glasgow/Paris and even Belfast in terms of Gangland feuds, hands down.
Last nite there was a drive by-shooting at the drive-through section of McDonalds. No one was hit though and luckily no innocent people were injured. The city has been labelled "Stab City" in the past by the Irish Media and nowadays Gardai(Irish Police) have admitted those were more "innocent times" with gun rule taking over.

Recent events include: 5 young men been given life in prison for murdering brutal Gang-land boss Liam Keane, who he himself murdered Eddie Ryan, before. Fearing Ryans two sons, aged 17 and 19 at the time arannged to have them kidnapped but in an astonishing double cross, for more money, he himself was murdered. His nephew Owen Tracy was stabbed 17 times BUT survived and testafied.

A 42 year-old man was killed by an AK-47 attack as he worked on a patio outside his house. The two suspects drove a car and were just 16 years-old. The man was not a gangster himself, he was just related to the Ryans.

Basically there is just too much to write about, so type "Limerick Gangland Fued" or "Limerick Feuds" into Yahoo/Google or any other search engine and read all about it.

Dublin also has a huge Gangland problem. In the past week, the leaders of the notorious Westies gang based in West Dublin have apparently been killed although cops suspect it's a hoax to get them out of the limelight. They ruled all of North-West Dublin's Heroin trade with a brutal Iron fist. The two leaders are a 31 year old and a 28 year old and have been described as physcotic by people in the pasts. Just some of the punishments, include, a heroine addict been thrown off the 10th floor of the Ballymun flats and a addicted woman having her breasts burned with cigarette lighters , all over a small sum of money.

There were involved in a shoot-out with the Gardai in Ireland and fled to Spain's Alicantae. They vanished without trace a week ago, not contacting thier family, and were reportedly killed by a rival Dublin Gang run by John Gilligan. One of Gilligan's mob was accused of shooting crime journalist Veronica Guerin as she sat in traffic in Dublin in 1996. He was cleared of it but got 28 years in prison for possesion of £15 million worth of cannabis

There are loads of other Gangsters around Dublin, more than in Limerick but its just that at the moment, the gang fued has reached such a bloody stage in Limerick. Limerick is just a crazy little city. Dublin has well over 10 times its population but its still really rough.

In Limerick on Friday night there was a drive-by outside McDonalds. No one was injured.

On the same night a man was killed when a 17 year-old youth stabbed him. Why did he do this? He stabbed him because the man wouldn't drive him to the city centre to get a bag of chips(fries). Stuff, like this happens all the time in Limerick. Its full of complete nutters.

belfast is pretty dangerous, i got friends over there and some friends down in cork and its not the best place to live... but if you go east you'll find out that london , belfast, and most of the western european cities are heaven compared to cities like belgrade, ankara, sofia and other places where the gov't is corrupt and supports alotta mafia type of groups...citizens in these towns are always in danger...in london you can count on a police officer helpin you out in a bad situation, in sofia they just walk around, act like they dont see people gettin jacked , too scared for their own lives

and belgrade - its bad, ive been there many times, yugoslavia is a tough place to be, drug canals go through yugoslavia from turkey and greece to western europe, the stakes are high, the violence in the streets is crazy, from the smallest drug dealer to the big fish...

I was talking to this Latvian that came over to Ireland to work and he said that cities over where he lived, in Russia,Albania ect. were full of Gangsters. There is very low wages in countries like that so its not surprising the people emirgrate or turn to crime to make a living.

But here in Western Europe, I dont know why there are so many gangsters, as its easy to get a good job. Usually the gangs are led by thugs too lazy to work and who were brought up in a rough working-class area and the prospect of making alot of cash selling recreational drugs to young rich people or harder drugs like heroin to urban wasters, is too attractive.

However the Police are just as cowardly over here as they are in eastern Europe. Some areas in Dublin the Gardai(police) wont even go to. If you report a bunch of youths who'v stolen a car and are skidding about out-side your house the cops wont even bother thier a*se to come out. They much rather be pulling over speeding motorist's who owen their car. Lazy bas***ds.

Belfast. Without a doubt.

After that it's probably Paris, or maybe Palermo. Also some places in Eastern Europe are nasty. One of my mates has family in Bucharest and he says that the poverty and crime is just appalling.

English cities can be extremily poor with alot of muggings and stabbings but because of strict gun laws there is very little murders. Madrid or Barceloa or somewhere else in Spain or Portugal are probably the safest.

I would have to say Minsk or Kiev. In Italy I heard that they don't allow slavs (Polish Ukrainian Russian etc.) to go there anymore for work. Because coming from those poor countries and used to that lifestyle they come there and sometimes steal or burglarize stores and people and are prone to hooliganism and drunkiness and fighting. ALso in Albania, Romania, Bulgaria people don't even travel there same as RUssia and Ukraine but even mnore so. If you go there by car you have to drive with 3 or 4 cars side by side or else you will be pulled over at a stop sign or light and car will be jacked and you possibly stabbed or killed. Its not joke like South Central L.A or worste. And people say all white people are rich and nice lol.

South France is nuts. Especially in the suburbs around Marseilles. It's like a 3rd world country. All the big gangs even have political connections like in Japan and all the arab immigrants don't mess around.

In england and wales it tends to be medium sized towns rather than big cities with the most crime. In rural Wales there is literally no work because all the mines shut down and walking through some neighbourhoods in towns like newtown and Swansea is really dangerous coz they don't like outsiders.

All the towns in south Essex like Basildon, Thurrock, Purfleet, Hayes, Billaricay, Romford and Southend are famous for their nightlife but the drug problems is awful. Every friday and saturday night in the town centers of those places there are always huge incidents and its one of the worst areas to police.

Also in kent there is all problems with gypsies and irish travellers and in toens like St. mary Cray, Swanley, Isleof Sheppy there are roads that are literally no-go if your not some form of pikey.

But eastern Europe is much more dangerous because guns are easy available because of all the wars recently. In Sicily of course there is the mafia and I herd that in some town in Calabria there is a bigger starvation rate than in the capital of Ethiopia.

But like Isaid, nothing compars to Belfast. Veacause you don't get gangs out there. You get terrorists who control areas. Really divided and I'dsay that it is safer for a white person with 'i hate spicks' tattoed on their chest and a swastka tattood on their back to walk through compton than it is for a catholic to walk through a protistant area or vice-versa.

Belfast is pretty rough, but its all terroists and milita groups, you cant really call them gangs. Id say the roughest city gangwise would either be Glasgow or Paris.

Glasgow aint shit no more. The city is still really poor but theres not as much gang violence as they used to be. All those 'glasgow gang pictures on those websites look like little dickheads compared to some of the firms in england.

I still maintain it's belfast, but Ice is right that eastern europe is much worse than (most of) western europe.

also you lot seem to be forgetting Italy. Palermo, Naples, Rome and and Corleone are all extremily dangerous.

The football hooligans in Serbia don't bother messing round with knives and lead pipes. They shoot eachother in the ground instead.

Belfast, followed by just about any big town in Eastern Europe.

Not Gangs. Yeah right. Where do you think they get money for guns ect. They didn't win the lottery, mate.

There also a lot of vigil-anti groops, set up by men in neighebourhoods. A while back a 19 year old got nailed to a wooden post in a park by a group of men because they thought he a joyrider. He had just gotten out of jail for robbing cars and went into the wrong neighebourhood. Other stuff happens all the time, if you could just see Irish news in the North of Ireland.

Somthing Belfast has in common with LA is that if you ware the wrong colours your in for trouble. If you wear orange or a Rangers soccer jearsy, Catholics(Irish) youths will target you. If you wear green or a Celtic soccer jearsey you will be targeted by Protestant(Brittish) youths.

It should be understood that over here its not a Religion thing. All of these youths would have only been in a church a couple of times in their life. Basically, it's Irish v Brittish, and it happens that if your a Catholic your Irish and if your a Protestant your Brittish.

Also in Eastern Europe, there is very low wages so obviously desperation is going to drive people mental and towards crime. But in Ireland, nowadays, its easy to get a job with a decent wage so I think when talking about gangs in Western and Eastern Europe, you should rember its in a completly different context.

[quote="Sean"]Limerick city in south west Ireland beats Dublin/London/Glasgow/Paris and even Belfast in terms of Gangland feuds, hands down.[quote="Sean"]

When I said Limerick beats all these cities hands down I dont actually mean it like that. It is not rougher than Belfast, no city in Europe is, however I was talking about the dramatic gangland fued that went on(kipnappings and double crossing ect.) The city has only a population of 80,000 so I'm talking in terms of, per head of population. Not many cities with such a small population are so rough. Tallagh (an area of Dublin) has a bigger population than this and its only a suburb of Dublin.

Not many people have mentioned Italy yet. Now some of that is well hard. The poorest part of italy is on the same level as parts of africa in terms of GNP and poverty and stuff.

Albania is supposed to be really horrible as well.

Also Turkey-in-europe is supposed to be poorer than most of the rest of Turkey, and Cyprus has all these ethnic tentions between the Greeks and Turks.

Some areas of Italy is definatly rough but I hardly know anything about it so I cant comment. Naples is ment to be the worst city I'v heard. They have a big football holigan culture over there but I dont know much about gangs. The Albanian Mafia is really crazy, I'v also heard.

True. Wherever is poverty, there's crimes and problems.

As for the hardest city in Europe, it has to be some city from Eastern Europe. Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Poland and Bulgaria all got crazy shit happening there.

I know that some parts of Paris, Glasgow and Belfast are really rough, but still those cities can't beat those Eastern European countries as it comes to crimes.

P.S. I'm sorry about my broken english, but I hope you understand what I'm saying..
