Show Description

Drugs, corruption, murder…two undercover detectives, from New York's 21st Precinct, solve these crimes while protecting the rest of society.

Filmed on location in New York City, the urban police drama, New York Undercover, makes its long awaited return to television. Starring Malik Yoba as Detective J.C. Williams and Michael De Lorenzo as Detective Eddie Torres, two young detectives' work the streets of New York while undercover; investigating various criminal and gang related cases.

J.C.Williams is a tough New York detective who has no patience for law breakers. His personal struggle to balance his personal life and work life conflict with the quality time he seeks to spend with his fiancé and son, G. His partner, Eddie Torres, also has difficult issues to deal with. Besides wanting to own his fathers nightclub,"Natalie's," he must also cope with his fathers reoccurring drug problem. The cast also included Patti D'Arbanville as the boss, Lt. Patti Cooper, and Lauren Velez, as their partner Nina Moreno.

Despite the pressures of both their home life and life on the police force, these two detectives still manage to relax and enjoy smooth music at Natalie's, at the end of the day. The realism of street life combined with the various performances at Natalie's make this one of the best urban police dramas of our time.

I used to watch this show when I was younger and it was one of my favorite shows, I hadn't seen it in YEARS and then all of a sudden they had the old episodes on TV-1

It was filmed in the mid to late 90's so all the music in it is from about 97 and earlier and it's all Hip Hop and R&B.

They had special guests come on and perform at the end of each show it varied from Bone Thugs all the way to Mary J. Blidge.

This show was and still is tight.
