Vietnamese gangs

Unread post by willihen » March 22nd, 2004, 2:39 pm

Does anyone know the most organized or well-respected Vietnamese gang in L.A.?
I am alittle confused. Are there Vietnamese members spread out throughout other gangs, or do they stick to themselves?
Appreciate any help

ha ha...traitor vietnamese...LOL...

Well from what I know the viet's that joined pinoy gangs were hardcore and all about theirs...most of them I'd say. They all didn't kick it with their own kind because of the backstabbing and getting set up and robbed by your own people. That's what most of em' said. Also the sea's couldn't be trusted, they'd rob your ass when you turned your back.

most viets that join filipino gangs join it because they just like banging, its not cuz they're backstabbing their own race or anything

Are the Dragons just Viet's? There's a gang called Dragons or DF around here & they're considered organized crime.

The OC had a lot of different Viet gangs back in the day. I listed these gangs before on another thread about OC gangs. Here's a list of the ones I heard of in OC: Nip Family (NF) Viet for Life (VFL) Cheap Boyz (CB) Asian Bad Boyz (ABB) Power of Vietnam (POV) True Brotherhood (TBH) Lil Saigon Hoodlums (LSH) Tiny Rascal Gang (TRG) Natoma Boyz (NTB) Viet Thug Family (VTF) Asian Boyz (ABZ) Crazy Brothers Clan (CBC) Black Dragon Family (BDF). I know some of these gangs were mixed having both Cambodian and Vietnamese. Another old school gang was called Nip14. And there was also something called The V in the OC area. I think that was more like organized crime but I don't really know for sure. I heard that Akrho Boys Crazy (ABC) had some Vietnamese heads in their ranks.

Wasn't IBK a female Asian gang back in the day called Innocent Bitch Killa? I remember hearing about them and don't think theres any connection to the other IBK. There was also another Viet gang called Lil' Viet Mafia (LVM) somewhere in OC. In no way related to the Filipino LVM. I'm not exactly sure if the Viet LVM was a true gang or even made noise.

Vietnamese numbers are short. The gangs are looked down upon. It's looked down upon by every Asian or Oriental ethnicity.

The phase out usually happens at a certain age, where dudes hang it up after they put in their time...or just grow up if they are able to.

Too many of ya'll on here are like trying to make it seem bigger than what it really is.

I applaud all the non-gangbanging Asians/Islanders who are doing their thing, even while living in gang-ridden areas. It's all racial here in L.A. People got to understand you have to move as a unit eventually. You get judged by the littlest thing.

Some of these former gangmembers are working as your pharmacist, own the restaurant you frequent, pass laws, fundraise for politicians, probation department...you name it. The ex-Asian Gangmember is your boss, your employee, your pal that you just call Duc, Cham, etc...

The kids nowadays aren't worried about having to get hit up like how when we grew up in the 70's/80's/90's. And that's a good thing!

Vietnamese Lost Boyz (VLB) is another set not mentioned yet. Don't know much about them. Heard that name from my homie who lives in Westminster. Another gang from the 90's that might not be around anymore.

vietnamese numbers are short? in membership? time spent gangbanging for the hood? or height? lol

vietnamese , pinoy , cambodian , chinese , korean...... some heads are down , some heads are not. some hoods are down. some are not.

all depends on where/how they grew up and who/how their older heads are.

you put a pinoy gang from l.a. , or a cambodian gang from long beach , or a lao gang from stockton up against a pinoy gang from granada hills , a chinese gang from rowland heights or korean gang from diamond bar and you already what would happen for the most part.

the tougher the situation , the tougher the gang becomes and so it's members. easy to be a g when you live in white neighborhoods or where surenos don't see you as a threat. totally different to be a g in a hood with lots of g's and lots of enemies.

not to say that it's all about where you live. i've seen rich g's living in rich neighborhoods down as fuck and i've seen ghetto fools from ghetto neighborhoods be the biggest bitches.

it's just how the certain gang is (not the race of the gang) , it's members and leaders. can't classify one race as one thing.
