Question concerning Blood In Blood Out

Unread post by gtrip » August 16th, 2003, 8:55 pm

In the movie Blood in Blood out, "at the very end the brother that was the artist was trying to get the brother that was the cop to accept his other brother" , A friend of mine works as a councilor for TDC and he was telling me that certain gangs raise up Guards so to speak to be able to pretty much get what they want while in prison, anyway i was thinking that was very similar to supposed mafios families that over the years have raised up judges congressmen etc or say the kennedys (bootleggers) that had a president and a senator, anyway i was wondering if the gangs are doing the same thing or iam reaching ? alonso what do you think

Blood In Blood Out (1993)

I actually like this flick, but i've been told that it isn't a realistc portrayal. I've also been told that American Me is a more acurate prtrayal of the same events...
Anybody know the truth?

I aint no "siskel & eberts"; but American Me was 10 times better then B..in, B..out. More realistic, better acting, ...B..in,B..out just seemed kind of.. I don't know.."cheezy".
Like made by wannabeeze or somthing.

Just my opinion.

for us non-bangers the best gang movie ever was BOYZ IN THE HOOD.

that's what it was like growing up around bangers but not being one.

I think Menace II Society is way more realistic of growing up around "bangers" than BNTH.

American Me
Was the most realistic of them in my opinion. It's sad how EME got with the AB. Especially sad because many chicano gangs were formed because the racist whites were terrorizing them!! I respect the Nortenos because they are at least aligned with the blacks and having black and brown pride and aren't a bunch of Uncle Tom Mexicans like the Surenos EME for the most part!!! The white man has always won wars by dividing and conquering the natives for the most part and EME ala the Surenos seem to be their tool. Wake up Surenos and stop kissing the white man's gluteous maiximus and sucking his "I will get banned". The blacks need to wake up also and stop fighting with themselves and ruining their neighborhoods and F'ing up alliances they could have!
I am not saying kill whitey........I am part white, hispanic and black..there are good and bad in every race

It was fiction but it was aight. One of the things I didn't like is that they made some of the homies look fake. Like Spider had a bowl head with tight khakis and high tops. ? Also, Mieklo had tight khakis and a bowl head. ?? I was like, ehh, fawk it, it's only a movie.

You're wrong.....The AB was formed because the Latinos and African Americans were terrorizing the Caucasians.
