I read the book about a week ago, I think it was a pretty good book that is up to date. Wright found a good mixture of being informative and entertaining at the same time. It was a good read and I hope he continues writing more books.

I bought this book from this site, and read it in a weekend. It is good look into Loko's life, and I like the fact he doesn't brag on dropping the bodies like Monster Kody did. That isn't to say he didn't, but at least he has the sense not to publish it if he did.

I wish the book focused more on the gang days then the prison days, but it is still a harrowing account of how a determined man can hustle ANYWHERE. It is a good look into the California prison system.

Other than the beginning, there isn't too much mention of being in the Bloods on the outside after the first stint in prison, other then contacts and such. He still hustles, but it seemed more like an independent contractor than a Rollin' 20. The various prison visits was where there was more claiming of Blood, but it is also understood that is how prison works.

I highly recommend this book to any member of this site. It is well written, and you can feel what Loko is telling you.

Nah u can't really even compare the 2 books cuzz Monster came out like 12 years ago... I read the book[Monster] when I was like 13 and still remember some of the stories in there. Back then "gang-bangin'" was a lot more serious niggas was gettin killed everyday for blue or red. Nowadays I think it's kinda corny to start bangin or even tryin to be down with some hood like these mark niggas on the eastcoast and south even in other countries it's crazy man. All these mark niggas throwin up signs nowadays tryin to copy what niggas on the WEST have been doing for decades these niggas need to be original and just give it up. These niggas in NY and in the south have no business even putting Crip or blood in the name of their hood these r some played out mark niggas talkin 'bout fucc slobs or callin C-Riders crabs these niggas started bangin last last week man I say Fucc em. Keep it on the W3ST. Niggas back in the late 60' should'a copyrighted this sh**.

and niggas in thw west also need to realize that some niggas from the west went to these states and started it.
but niggas in the wets acting like stuck up b-tches about it
why cant bloods and crips be all over america? gangster disciples are all over the place and vicelords are all over the plcae but you dont see them b-tchen about it. why not be proud that your nation has grown? i take that sh-t asd a big compliment that bloods and crips are in other states and countries we know some are fake off brands and the thing i dont like is the ones that clame the exactly same sets as cali for example
havard park brims and rollin 60s. i dont know but its all good.
sh-t some blood and crip gangs on the east and south are harder then the ones out here in the west now and i definately know for a fact that ther is way way way more bloods in new york state then cali.
real talk^^^^^

I picked this book up the week it was released. I was very impressed by it, I finished within about 2 days.. I couldn't put it down really.

I found all the prison stuff very interesting, the way things work and the problems that go on inside. this book is on level if not better than kody scott's autobiography. I read abit of Mad Ronald's posts on here and it was cool to see him mentioned in the book.

this book does not dissapoint. you get to read for yourself how he is a hardcore gang member..but he is also a person with a girl and a child... what his mind-set was and where he is now.

I liked it better than "Monster." "Monster" was original and something new at the time. It was a good read and good stories but the ladder half slacked off.

Terrell Wrights book was strictly "street" from the beginning to the end. No fluff, flare, or messages. Just his messed up life.

P.S. After reading "Monster" several years ago I bought that tape "War Stories" with Monster kody scott interviewed. I was excited to see what he had to say. In the video he just babbles on and on, using words incorrectly trying to impress people, he came across pretty dumb.
But I won't forget those crazy ass eyes. Hes got that 1000 yrd stare.
spooky.

oh, you are crazy, he depiction of prison life, from the gang module in the county, to being in the whole, to the penitiarary yards, to fighting with Mexicans, etc.

This book was a bit more passionate, and more broader than Monster's book, and it is certainly not a rip off. That's like saying Loko ripped off his life from someone else. No way partner.

I noticed in both Monster's and Loko's books that they view gang warfare as an army general would, they even word themselves that way.

Always speaking of tactics and refering to SUN TZU.

Anyways, it was great to read such good books from both sides of the fence.
