Re: TEEN ANGEL
What do you want to know about Teen Angels? If you want to know were to buy one then I not to sure were around the hood they might sell them. You could try a liquior store or the 32nd Street market. I used to get them up in Palmdale when I was younger. Let me know what you want to know and Ill try to answer your question.

Thats their website. Hit them up with an e-mail and maybe they'll be able to help you. If you know what issue you were in then just tell them the one you want.

Re: TEEN ANGEL
I just got my hands on Volumes 211 & 212. My friend got'em for me from one of those sidewalk magazine sellers. $8.00 each GOOD DEAL.
I sure would pay decently for the 4 volumes of ARTE DEL BARRIO from 1979/1980.
$$$$$$ FOR THE 4 Volumes PEOPLE$$$$$$
You can PM or E-MAIL.

Re: TEEN ANGEL
This thread brings up some memories no doubt.I wish i would have kept my Teen Angel,Arte Del Barrio and older low Rider issues. I remember that one Teen Angel issue that had a drawing of four Crip's spelling out CUZZ on the front cover. That was the "Crip"issue. I also remember the Rollin 20's(NHB)having a big presence in the Teen Angel art work.Matter of fact i stole one of the 20's drawings.Sometimes when i would hit up walls and trains i would use the 20's art work with my hood's name. They had some creative artists. Also Low Rider magazine had some cool ass Bomb's in them day's. I think they were from the DUKES car club. One of the first low rider issues i remember was the one that featured cars from Super Show 79 or 80. I think the centerfold was a tight cherry red caprice classic with a fine ass model next to it. Hey does anybody know what happened to the ride GYSPY ROSE ?

Re: TEEN ANGEL
No reebok, its b/c this is evidence that blacks borrowed from chicano gang culture. You have evidence right here...
They probably saw mexican calo being used in the jails, letters, teen angels, etc and took a page out of mexican gangsterism book...
Just like chicanos borrowing from black culture using rap, slang, beats, etc...
This right here shows blacks borrowing. So this should end the debate of mexicans jacking or copying black culture cause right here shows blacks borrowing at the height of their glory gang-banging days...

Blacks did borrow from chicano culture, but we don't know if it wasn't hispanic b's and c's...times were different then.
