Hm, yea i know that some unfair shit has been going on there. But the Greeks say the same about the Turks and Albanians. They pretty much live off their past and their historical achievements, when nowadays Greece is a pretty messy country. Even my friend says that. I still consider them good people and they like Germans even though we did some cruel stuff to them during WW2. But you dont ever have to worry about them invading you. My friend is doing his military service at the moment and he said that they have AA Guns out of the 70s there still, lol.
Talking about WW2. Italy was Germanys closest allie during WW2 and considered to be part of Hitlers master race, that should tell you what they considered themselves. And they still think of themselves as white.
But in my impression they think of themselves as Catholics first, then as descendants of the Romans and then as white people.

You don't have to be ultra pale and English looking to be "white", just like you don't have to be dark brown/black skinned Nubian looking person to be "black". It's just a way of saying "European", basically. If you're a native European or desended from native Europeans your "white". If you're a middle eastern, central Asian or north african caucasian you have a shot a being accepted as white. If you're an East Asian, your skin could be as white as a piece of dry wall and you're still not "white" because you're not Caucasian. That's how it works in the U.S.
