Religious hate may be encouraging Obama’s assassination

In late 2008 there was an alleged plot in Tennessee by white supremacists to rob a gun store, shoot 88 black people, decapitate another 14 and then assassinate the first black president in American history. It appeared to be an isolated incident but up to Obama's inauguration threats against his life continued.

On January 16, 2009, 42-year-old Steven Joseph Christopher was arrested threatening Obama's life on the Alien-Earth message board. Posts credited to Christopher’s user name claimed that he intended to sacrifice Obama's life as a message to "Jewish parasites," and claimed that the assassination would be for "the country's own good."

In February 2009, New York Post cartoonist Sean Delonas published an image that depicted two white police officers standing over a dead chimpanzee after one of the officers fired shots into the chimp's torso. The most disturbing element of the cartoon was the caption that stated, “They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill," a reference to President Obama. Many suggested that the cartoon was a troubling depiction of extreme violence, death to the President, with racial undertones.

Federal agents uncovered the plot of Paul Schlesselman and Daniel Cowart, two neo-Nazi skinheads, to assassinate Obama. The men planned on going on a "killing spree" at an African American high school and then assassinate Obama.

A user on Facebook posted a poll asking the question if President Obama should be killed. Facebook took down the poll as soon as officials at the popular social-networking site learned about it. The Secret Service also investigated the person behind the post to determine what threat that person represented to the President.

In November 2008, a Yahoo Finance web user Walter Edward Bagdasarian was arrested for posting the following threat against then President-elect Barack Obama.
“Shoot the nig. Country kfd for another 4 years+, what nig has done ANYTHING right???
Long term???? Never in history, except sambos.”

Fk the nigger, he will have a 50 cal in the head soon.”
The Secret Service executed a search warrant on Bagdasarian’s residence and recovered several weapons including a Remington model 700 ML bolt-action muzzle-loading .50 caliber rifle.

The threats have continued consistently all year and according to the President’s Secret Service, the rate of threats against the President has increased 400 percent from the 3,000 per year threats that President George W. Bush received. Threats and hatred towards presidents are not new, and as recent as 1981 there was an attempt on the life of President Ronald Reagan, but 2009 has a feeling that there is a nation-wide movement against the president that is also driven by radio and television commentators such as Fox News’ Glen Beck and Sean Hannity and EIB’s Rush Limbaugh.

Most recently, what appears to be the work of “Christian” fanatics, T-shirts and bumper stickers that harmlessly state "Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8” are actually calling for the death or assassination of President Obama when reading the following verse which puts Psalms 109:8 in context.

In Psalms 109 verse 8 reads:
-Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
The following verse reads:
-May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
-May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.
-May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
-May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.
-May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation.
-May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
-May their sins always remain before the Lord, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Cafepress was selling T-shirts and bumper stickers with the sinister message, but as of today, that link to those products have been removed. According to the website:

“We are sorry, but the product you requested could not be found. The page you are looking for may have been renamed, moved, or deleted.”

Do these acts suggest that anger and perhaps hate is growing against the President? and is race a major factor? Some have suggested that the vitriol is against government and that Obama was extremely popular in November, when he was elected therefore it his policy that is driving the growing resentment from the American public. But race is certainly a pivotal reason why neo-Nazis and old Southerners dislike Obama and because of the stigma of publicly admitting racist views, much of the attacks will be masked behind policy and decisions that the President makes.

I do believe that a deep seated racism is central to this attack against Obama, but it’s not coming from the people who voted for him. Obama won 53 percent of the 125 million votes, so there are at least 58 million American voters that did not want Obama to win, more than enough people to spawn a movement against Obama that is rooted in hate and racism. We cannot really prove racism in today’s climate when stickers and t-shirts are created and manufactured by anonymous organizations from unnamed sources, but the ones that are most vocal that this hate is NOT driven by race and that claim they themselves are NOT racist are the very people that concerned citizens should be cautious and skeptical of.

On the surface is appears that this recent hate movement is being driven by what I call the Taliban wing of false Christianity, a small but active sector of religious fanatics. They feed off of the negative propaganda leashed against the President and hopefully his Secret Service will stay always on 24 hour alert to stifle what appears to be an inevitable salvo of assaults against President Obama.

I doubt alot of this article --teh skinheads that were caught were methheads talking methhead nonsense -they had no money-guns or ability to carry out the threat. I dont know what might happen in the next 3 years but I feel Obama is pretty well protected ,however to quote The GODFATHER" if history has shown us anything is that anyone can be killed"...............I believe alot of this is hype.

If he keeps doing such a shitty job, the list of assassination plots is only going to grow. His approval rating is already below 50%, and rapidly falling. Hell, within 1 term he may turn out to be worse than 2 terms of Bush. Wouldn't that be funny? At least American's are waking up to the Obama scam early on.

What Obama scan? He hasn't done a shit job, and is no where close to Bush's fuckups, he just hasn't done anything because of the intrinsic trait of Democrats to sabotage their own coupled with shit ass belligerent Republicans, and his mister middle ground approach. He is no savior he is a politician like the President's before him, hold him to the same standard.

I believe Obama is doing a terrible job -the recent elections show the American street is pissed off. The republicans won Massachussettes-the bluest of blue states. No repub had won this seat in almost a half a century. New Jersey and Virginia governerships blew the democrats away. Illegal immigration, loss of jobs-a faultering economy on the brink of a depression and Obama is pushing healthcare?! Come on, he squandered his ability to lead! what a fool! He is such an idiot -alot of the stimilus money went to programs like planned parenthood, Acorn, education....I mean that money was supposed to go to JOBS*, infrastructure and mortagage refinance yet it didnt. Obama is like a pilot who takes over while a plane is crashing-people dont care that he only has been president a year they are worried about whats happening NOW. The focus he had was mismanaged-he pushed healthcare when unemployment is nationally at 10% a VERY VERY high figure one of the worst since the depression. People including myself were like WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT THAT FOR? when CAlifornia and LA are on the brink of collapse. The Unemployment at 10% is the untold story in reality it is probably at 17% considering the people who exhausted benefits or took part time work. We are at a stage of collapse and he pushed healthcare reform? what a freaking dumbass. He is backpeddling real hard now -making compromises on healthcare and using rhetoric about focusing on jobs. I dont know who advises him but its as if he was set to fail. Had he focused on jobs first ,fixing the economy ,he could have gotten absolutely everything he wanted of healthcare. People were leary on setting up a trillion dollar healthcare project when we couldnt even get a job. What a waste of oppurtunity -more then anyone in recent memory

You only think he's doing a good job because he's Black. Stop being a racist.

Obama looks insane next to Bush's first year.

Obviously your reading comprehension skills are lacking, and you've already established your racial outlook...no sense in taking what you have to say seriously.

Mayuga, good points. Mass. Lost to the Republicans because the dems tried to run off of Obama instead of putting in any work.

What does my "racial outlook" have to do with anything being discussed? It's your pro-black attitudes that won't allow you to see through the piss-poor presidential attempts of Obama, not anything to do with me.
no sense in taking what you have to say seriously.
Then why bother replying? A little redundant, wouldn't you say?

Azure how can I take you totally serious when you have not just shown yourself to be a white supremacist/seperatist, but you've also ran amok on this site masquerading as a "Chalkfarm Blood/GD", talking madness?

Then when I say Obama hasn't done anything (meaning his actions the prior year were ineffectual) you try to manipulate my statement and say I am pro-black and I am defending him. Again, reading comprehension my friend. Stop twisting my words.

I fail to see how my personal beliefs or posting habits could have an effect on a political discussion.
Then when I say Obama hasn't done anything (meaning his actions the prior year were ineffectual) you try to manipulate my statement and say I am pro-black and I am defending him. Again, reading comprehension my friend. Stop twisting my words.
I was referring mostly to your comment that Obama is "no where close to Bush's fuckups", which is entirely incorrect and obviously stems from a bias you have - perhaps it was wrong of me to assume that you were merely defending him because of your partially shared race - but if you compare the first year of their terms, Obama has shown to be a far more disappointing leader than Bush. The only "positive" thing you can say about his presidency so far is winning a peace prize that he did nothing to deserve.

Perongregory is kookoo as this bitch says

He's a black fanatic more extremist than Bin Laden himself and Bin Laden never declared war on Christianity - just America. I would gladly like to have a cup of coffee with him and discuss brass tacks.

Perongregory's aggressive approach makes him my favorite type of internet opponent. He's convinced he knows what the fuck he's talking about, he's more determined than the Westside when it comes to being arrogant and proving people wrong, knows how to insult thanks to real life experience something I can't have an opponent not have is vulgarisms lower than mine and has his head up his ass as far as Che except he doesn't fantasize in the clouds as much and sees the reality I'm talking about is what it is and gets right down to profanity.

Only if he fully knew what the fuck he was talking about ... I've met tons of mods like him on all types of forums who were also biased towards their race, their nationality, their whatever and when it came to the discussion if you tried to challenge them they felt it's their obligation that they outrank you having mod powers or hell maybe he's an officer in the military as a civilian he's my protector and he knows way more than I do kid...

So !ban

Those are the types I don't like. Why? Because they're so arrogant me being a high class rich kid spoiled with too many connections VIP access to the world who had dinner with the prime minister's 2nd cousin cannot fathom but...accept the fact that resistance is futile.

A Serbian and Bosnian soldier were trapped in a trench in a field together and on both sides of the field were their own sides waiting for someone to cross so they'd shoot.

The Bosnian soldier has an AK47 and is holding the Serbian soldier prisoner...

When the Serbian soldier questions the Bosnian soldier's orders like go do that and do this and bring me that and says why, the Bosnian soldier simply answers with because I have a rifle and you don't.
