I think its Sichel st, and 28 and Sichel is the same clique I believe. They are deep in the area where 28 and sichel meet.alexalonso wrote:v. Lincoln Heights is in the Northeast area of LA in a neighborhood called Lincoln Heights.

I know it dates back at least to the 1910's. I don't think it's quite as old as Dog Town or Alpine.

Re: V. Lincoln Heights (LxHTs)
LHTS isnt even pre 80's, they started off as stoners who used to party up on the top of the hill on Parkside Ave. BTW I like the pic of the store on Griffith, back in the day the Chino there we called King would sell Liquor to anybody who had the money. During the party crew days of the early 90s there would be lines of underage kids trying to get their drank on. I remeber the Aves always cruising by trying to catch someone slipping. Man that flick brought by memories....hahah even though I was their last week.alexalonso wrote:1910? for real. Re: V. Lincoln Heights (LxHTs)
They definitely go back before the 1980s. In the 1982 gang list by the LASD there are listed there as LHTS, not stoners, and they go back further than that too.

They never claimed to be a stoner gang, but they had a stoner style. They were more of party heads.alexalonso wrote:They definitely go back before the 1980s. In the 1982 gang list by the LASD there are listed there as LHTS, not stoners, and they go back further than that too.

Re: V. Lincoln Heights (LxHTs)
I read an old article from the L.A. Times from the late 1940's. In the article, a man in his forties recounts his old gang day back in the 1910's. One of the gangs mentioned is Lincoln Heights (he also mentions Dog Town). I don't know if it's the direct ancestor of today's LxHTS or just a name coincidence.alexalonso wrote:1910? for real. The LHTS that we speak of doesnt even go past the 70s. They are babies compared to Clover and I believe clover claims to have started in 1949.alexalonso wrote:So there were not out at least by 1922?sickside wrote:lol...no..they are not 90 years old....old...but not that old..

Re: V. Lincoln Heights (LxHTs)
Lincoln Heights as a gang goes back to about 1920 but it was started by the Irish. There were juveniles forming gangs in this community since the late teens and early 1920s. There were also Mexican and Mexican- American members in the early gang. The gang, Lincoln Hights is also documented in the LA Times in the early 1940s, so this is an old gang.
The neighborhood is one of the oldest communities on the Eastside too.

Re: V. Lincoln Heights (LxHTs)
According to William Dunn's book "The Gangs Of Los Angeles" the police knew about the Lincoln Heights gang by 1910.@1 wrote:Lincoln Heights as a gang goes back to about 1920 but it was started by the Irish. Clover is another gang that dates back to the early part of the 20th century. Clover's original territory is where the UPS is on Main.

Re: V. Lincoln Heights (LxHTs)
The neighborhood of Lincoln Heights is a trip. Everybody knows each other, went to the same schools and may be related. But they all hate each other.
All the while there was asian gangs doing there thang too once upon a time.
And the police are known to be corrupted. Just like in the movie freedom riders, even if you didn't do the crime, they will take in a homeboy just because they can.

Re: V. Lincoln Heights (LxHTs)
The Lincoln Heights gang talked about frim old is not the same LHTS of the 1980s. The VLHTS of today started out as locos from "THE HEIGHTS" in the 1980s. Prior to the 1980s you never heard if them as a Varrio. Two clues that tell you this is a newer varrio diff than the obe from old times. The first one has to do with their initials LHTS. Why 4 letters? This an 80s thing of four letters for a varrio initials, prior to the 80s it was mostly two or three letters in a varriio initials. Second, look at the clique names, theyre all after the 1980s, one even go back to the 1970s, why? Because VLHTS was not aroun in the 70s.
