My great grandmother used to own a restaraunt on Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica. During that war w/ Culver City & Santa Monica, CXC shot & killed 2 dudes outside that restaraunt or right next to it. I remember them telling us something had went down over there. I also remember a shooting at that liquor store on Pico & 20th...Eddie's liquor. But I cant recall if that was part of the SM/CXC war or with another SM enemy.

Yeah I think I know that shooting you're talking about on Lincoln inside a clothing store. That happened in the late 90s I think. From what I understand, the two dudes were brothers and weren't even involved in gangs -- they were from out of town visiting the shop owner who used to be an SM 13 if I remember correctly. I think that was a retaliation by CxC for something else.

I remember the shooting on Pico & 20th -- I think the shooting happened in that alley behind the liquor store. Pretty sure that involved SM13, but I don't know who the other gang was.

I only knew some V13s from school. During the 90s I went to Middle School & High School out on the Westside close to Venice.

Are you from that part of town?

I am....I have alot of family from Venice...uncles, cousins, 2nd/3rd/4th cousins, aunts. Who did you know from V13? I grew up near LAX, close to where Poserz are at but spent a lot of time over in Venice as a kid. Its crazy to see the transformation of that area. But things still go down over there from time to time, just not as crazy as the 90's/early 2000's.

I knew one dude who repped V13 named Robert, but I don't remember his street name. Then another dude whose street name was "Serge" or something like that. I mainly remember because he used to tag it around the school. He repped V13 and tagged like a writer too. I don't remember his real name but based on what he tagged, I bet it was "Sergio."
