I wonder who gave the gang life the term, was it the gangs itself or society such as law enforcement or the community? I think once gang members realize the term stemmed from that type of sexual lifestyle, maybe they may rethink using the term. Gang life is just a form of passing down rather than learning and questioning why things are what the are anyway. I think maybe now with knowledge at our finger tips you would think members would challenge how things are represented in their gang. Educate oneself!

Gang bang was originaly representation of your hood, as colleague wrote above. Synonym with sexual intercourse came later. Gang-bang is phrase from 70s used by Crip gang members. In sexual meaning i guess it came from some porn films from 80s, i aint sure, but could be.
