MARA SALVATRUCHA 13
Is pretty big in Seattle's White Center & South Park neighborhood's. They have been in this area since about 2000. This gang has ties in the cities of Federal Way & Renton also.
This gang has been linked to the MURDERS of Antonio Pinto that was killed October 4th, 2004 in South Park and Florencio Perez-Silva killed September 26th, 2004 in Everett, WA.
This gang has been involved in shootings with their rivals Vatos Locos and United Latino gang in recent years.

Re: Washington State gangs
I grew up in Yakima, WA and have in depth knowledge on street gangs there. Gangs first started in Yakima around 1990, by the mid 1990's drive-by shootings and street fights happened daily. In 2004 the Yakima Police started a new Gang Enforcement Team cracking down on street gangs taking more than 40 guns off the streets. Because of this, gang activity in Yakima has slowed way down, but this has also cause these gangs to take their activities outside the city of Yakima. I think this is why Toppenish saw a huge increase in gang crime with up to 15 shootings & stabbings in this small town of 9,000 people.
Here is a list of of gangs that are in Yakima & Lower Valley today.
Little Valley Locos 13 (Largest gang in the Yakima Valley)

What's up in Seattle? 3 gang shootings in one night on Sunday? Some guy got shot in a drive-by on 23rd & Columbia St. Then two guys got gunned down in the University Dist, then another guy got shot on 7th Ave & Union Street.

Re: Washington State gangs
The fastest growing gangs in the Puget Sound are Latino gangs. Leading the way is SURENOS 13, I have found Surenos 13 gang activity in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, Pierce and Thurston counties. There are certin areas where I have found more Surenos gang activity than others. I have found most activity in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle. A few other areas are Mount Vernon, East Tacoma, Southwest Seattle and the Crossroads neighborhood of Bellevue. The Surenos 13 biggest rival Nortenos 14, on the other hand is almost non existence in the Puget Sound. I have found a few Nortenos 14 tags in East Tacoma and Bellevue but thats it.
Another gang that has been causing major problems in the Seattle area since around the year of 2000 is, MARA SALVATRUCHA 13. This gang has a strong present in the White Center neighborhood of Seattle. Another area where MS-13 has claimed turf is the Bitter Lake/Haller Lake neighborhoods of Northwest Seattle. In the year 2004 two members were charged with seperate homicides, one in South Park (Seattle) and the other in South Everett.
EIGHTEENTH STREET (18th ST) has also been located in Seattle. Most 18th Street gang activity has been found in White Center (Seattle). I believe 18th Street has a very small set in Seattle. I have not heard much about this gang in Seattle and have found very little XVIII graffiti. In Portland, Oregon they have had much more of a problem with this gang. 18th Street is one of the largest gangs in Portland and have been involved in gang-related homicides and drug related offenses.
Here are a list of Latino gangs I have found in the Seattle areas.
Vatos Locos 13 (Seattle, Kent, Tacoma, Bellevue)
South Side Locos 13 (Seattle, Mt. Vernon)
Surenos Maldinas Locos 13
18th Street
Mara Salvatrucha 13
United Latinos (Seattle)
Brick City Boyz ( I'm really not sure if this gang is latino)
Florencia 13 (Seattle, Kent & Tacoma)
Seattle's 1st Familia 13 (Sea-Tac)
EastSide Loco Surenos 13 (East Tacoma)
Nortenos 14
South Side Tokers 13 (Bellingham)
Barrio South Side 13 (Bellingham)
MT. Vernon Locos 13 (MT Vernon)
East Side Surenos 13 (MT Vernon)
Crossroads Eastside Locos 13 (Bellevue, Kirkland)
Puro Mexicano Locos (Bellevue)
Varrio Surenos Locos 13 (Bellevue, Yakima

Re: Washington State gangs
Well believe it or not, Bellingham does have some gang activity. I found a lot of "South Side Tokers" & "Barrio South Side" graffiti around North Bellingham off Meridian Street & E. Bakerview Rd. I found more SST graffiti in Ferndale and west of Lynden.
There are really no other gangs for them to fude with so they battle with two other Surenos gangs I could not identify by name "RPBx3" and "BLSx3"
I have heard "Tiny Rascal Gang" deals marijuana up that way and I did find some "18th Street 206" graffiti on Meridian Street North up near Lynden as well.
Glad to hear you liked those graff pictures Sealivin.

There was only about 29 murders in seattle for the entire 2004 year.I don't know how many of them was Gangster related but in my observations the deadly set trippin seems to be slowing down in the Seatown.

There was actually only 24 murders, the lowest total since 1964. And as far as I know there were only about 4 or 5 that could have been gang related.

Yeah I would like to think that things are getting better. I'm hearing however that a lot of apartment coplexes are getting renovated and places arn't allowing people to apply to them if they have a felony. I'm about to check out and see if neighboring cities (kent, federal way namely) have had an increase in crime or does anyone know already?guardsman wrote:There was actually only 24 murders, the lowest total since 1964. TOPPENISH, WA 2/13/2005 (http://www.kimatv.com)
A Lower Valley neighborhood is terrorized as a man is hit in a drive-by shooting late Sunday.
Just before ten tonight gunshots rang out in front of 11 "H" Street in Toppenish.
Half-a-dozen shell casings were recovered after shots were fired toward the house.
An adult male was hit by at least one shot.
A neighbor, who doesn't want his name used, tells KIMA, "some fool came around the corner and shot, and I saw the guy running."
It turns out that the victim only had minor injuries and was treated at the scene and then released.
Police say they're not getting much information from those inside the house.
A search is now on for a white car.

Re: Washington State gangs
Gang Bangin in Tacoma has died down a lot since the cops started locking everyone up around 97-98. They put Cameras up in all the major dope selling areas and a lot of bangers got popped.
Before that, T-Town was way more crazy than Seattle, Yakima or anywhere else in Washington, as far as bangin goes.
I moved away for a few years, but I'd still come thru to kick it sometimes. I just moved back to the Tac in June and it's nothing like it used to be in the early 90s.
Some niggas still bang today, but that's mostly the youngsters. Everybody else is trying to make their money and avoid getting locked up. There were some shootings this summer on the Eastside, but it's not like the old days.
You can wear any color and you won't get sweated, unless you look banged out. You know, if you wear Dickies with matching red (or blue) shoestrings, belt and flag.
I used to bang with the 44th St. East Side Pirus.
Our hood is the whole Eastside but the main spots are the Salashan Housing Project near 44th and Portland Avenue, the Swan Creek area near 56th and Portland (next to Mcilvaigh Middle School) and the area around 72nd street, between Portland and Mckinley Avenues.
There might be some new small clicks these days, but there aren't any new hoods that I know of (maybe some Mexican or Latino sets on the Eastside. I haven't heard of any hoods, but I know Mexicans are deep around Mckinley Park, at 40th and Mckinley Ave.)
The breakdown of Tacoma Blood hoods as I know it:
44th st. East Side Piru (ESP)
Krazy Ruthless Bloods (KRB)
Eastside Villians (ESV)
Original Loko Boyz (OLB)
Royal Samoan Piru (RSP)
P Stone Piru
Native Ganster Bloods (NGB)
Most of the Bloods claim the Eastside as their hood, except for RSP (mostly in Spanaway and Lakewood) and the P-Stones (they kick it on the Eastside, but don't claim any territory.)
Crip Hoods:
23rd St. Hilltop Crips (HTCG)
25th St. Neighborhood Crips (NHC)
Lakewood Hustler Crips
Eastside Gangster Crips
Loc'd Out Crips
6-0 Block Crip
The Hillltops (23rd st) have always been the deepest hood in Tacoma and the main rivals of all the bloods gangs. They claim Southside (25th st. does too).
The Lakewood Hustlers are deep, but they never got respect like the Hilltops. (They're not technically in Tacoma, they claim Southwest Side.)
The EGCs, 6-0 Blocks and LOCs are all small sets from the Eastside. When I was banging, I never heard of any of them doing much dirt, since Bloods ran the Eastside. My hood (ESP) didn't beef with the EGCs because we all grew up together. Two of our Big Homies have little brothers from EGC. I had homies from EGC who got my back a couple of times in beef against the Hilltops.
And I Can't forget the Folks (Black Ganster Disciples).
The Tacoma Folks don't have a hood but mostly lived on the Eastside and get along with Bloods. They bang against the Crips.
There is a also a set of Lakewood Folks that bang with the Lakewood Hustlers.

Re: Washington State gangs
Friends and relatives gathered in Yakima today at the home of Juan Garcia, whose stepson Ricardo Causor was brutally murdered Sunday night along with his three year-old daughter, Mya.
Someone came into the family's home Sunday night armed with a gun and shot the father, the little girl, and her mother.
The woman, whose name the family asked not be published for her safety, was able to knock on a neighbor's door to ask for help before she passed out. She survived, but the toddler and her father died from gunshot wounds.
Neighbors at the scene on South 18th Avenue told us they believed gang and drug activity on their street could be connected to the murders.
But relatives said Tuesday that while Ricardo Causor may have had ties to gangs when he was a teenager, he had left that life behind after becoming a father to Mya.
"Knowing my son, I know there's nothing illegal that could have been happening," Garcia said. "He worked hard for the family. His family came first."
Meanwhile, both the family and Yakima Police were asking for the community’s help in the case.
"So all I'm asking is if the public out there knows anything... tell them [the police] what you know," Garcia said.
Yakima police said anyone with any information about the killings should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-248-9980.
