From an extended family in a country full of Indians, and Afro Guyanese, her military parents moved around many times to avoid controversy; finally settling on the beautiful island of Tortola half an hour from Puerto Rico, Caribbean music sparked something big. As a child dance hall, calypso, and Indian music became a wild passion which later matured into modeling during high school when she moved to Chicago in 2001 at age 14. The language barrier was so terrible that no one could understand her speech nor could she understand Chicagoans. Her familiarity of hip hop music, video games, sports and cars, helped this tomboy break the barrier. Now in college pursuing a Marketing degree, Whitnee Bulger has stepped into the spotlight to show that models can be girlie and not lose their tomboy roots.
