The son of Crips founder and death-row inmate Stanley Tookie Williams is wanted by Fontana police in the abduction and sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.
Lafayette Jones, 36, told the girl, who is an acquaintance, that he wanted to take her to Ontario Mills Mall and buy her new shoes, said Fontana Sgt. William Megenney.
But once they got into his car, Jones put a handgun to her head and made her perform sex acts and drink alcohol, Megenney said.
"She knew him and she had confidence," she would be safe with him, Megenney said.
Jones, who is considered armed and dangerous, took the Fontana girl at about 5 p.m. Saturday. She broke away from him at about 11 p.m. at the Ontario Mills Mall and sought help, Megenney said.
During those six hours, Jones is suspected of committing a variety of sex crimes against the girl in his car, Megenney said.
Fontana police suspect Jones could be in the Los Angeles area. He has had prior sex crime convictions, Megenney said.
Williams, known mostly by his middle name Tookie, is slated to be executed Dec. 13 for four murders in 1979. Williams' planned execution has drawn anti-death penalty protests, including one held in Riverside in October.
Since convicted, Williams has written several children's books about the negative side of gangs. In 2004, Jamie Foxx starred in a movie about Williams.
Anyone with information about Jones' whereabouts is asked to contact the Fontana Police Department, (909) 350-7720, or another law enforcement agency.
