Fresno police arrest seven in drug, gang activity

Police arrested seven Fresno residents Wednesday, culminating a weeklong investigation after complaints from residents in a southwest neighborhood of drug and gang activity, Fresno police officials reported this morning.Officers served a search warrant at 3070 E. El Monte Way about 5 p.m. Taken into custody were Daniel Castro, 27, on suspicion of sales of methamphetamine and other narcotics-related offenses, Richard Murrietta, 24, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest and Florentino Gonzalez, 20, for a felony probation violation.All three are Bulldog gang members, police said. Also arrested on drug charges were Nona Manning, 36, Nellie Murrietta 24, and John Amador, 30. Buck Plumlee, 31, was arrested for a felony warrant.All were booked into the Fresno County jail.
