Highland Park shooting kills teenager, wounds a second
Police believe the motive was gang-related. No arrests have been made.

A 17-year-old boy was killed and a 19-year-old man wounded after a possibly gang-related shooting in Highland Park, authorities said today
Adrian Betancor was shot once in the upper body about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 5700 block of Marmion Way and later died at a hospital, said Det. Larry Burcher of the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast station homicide division.
Joey Chavez, the second victim, was hospitalized and expected to survive, he said.
There have been no arrests, but the motive for the shooting was believed to be gang-related, Burcher said.
