Method Man was recently hit in the face with a beer can during an onstage performance at a music festival in Illinois, and he is now taking legal action against his attackers.

The rapper was performing at the Gathering of the Juggalos event with Redman on Sunday when the attack occurred.

Juggalos, followers of the rap-group Insane Clown Posse, were allegedly responsible for leaving the How High rapper bloodied and bruised after a prolonged attack.

According to TMZ.com the How High rapper continued the performance but is now preparing to sue.

The rapper told the website, “It’s not OK… I don’t condone throwing things at the talent while they’re performing. It takes a lot of heart and balls to continue performing after you’ve been hit in the face.”

Method Man isn’t the only celebrity involving lawyers over the festival. Reality TV star Tila Tequila is planning a lawsuit after she was apparently hit with fire crackers and beer bottles during a performance.
