Unread post by yoda100 » August 31st, 2019, 1:59 pm

Has anyone been able to watch this episode on the van nuys asian boys? It was released January 3, 2017, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere, if you happen to find a site where I can watch it, post it here, thanks.

Nice find, well damn after watching the video, they were convicted of alot of shit, but it looks like they were only the allegations from the 2 snitches. Makes you wonder what other unsolved murders van nuys abs/abz did that we'll never know about.

Here's what the video pretty much summed up.

1. The DEA said that the "Asian Boys" gang was established in 1970.
2. The DEA said that Marvin "Shy Boy" Mercado and Pierre "Boo Boo" Mercado came from a wealthy background, their father was an engineer and their mother worked in real estate.
3. A majority of the ABS members were A+ students, some attended Van Nuys High School, David "Tattoo" Angelista, was a straight A student.
4. A majority of the ABS members lived in an apartment complex on Van Nuys Blvd & Valerio street. At times they were harassed by Valerio street 13 gang.
5. The beef between Asian Boys & Valerio street 13 started after Valerio gang members told Asian Boys to leave their hood, ABS refused and shots were fired.
6. One night marvin got a text from his girlfriend, she was at the "Dim Sum Cafe", and says she recognizes rival Wah Ching members there. Except they werent from Wah Ching, they were innocent bystanders, Cheng Peng,18, Paul Vu, 16, Ben Liao, 16, and Michael Fortescue. They show up in 3 different cars with 11 Van Nuys Asian Boys in total and wait in the parking lot. They begin to follow the victims whom are driving a white nissan sentra, onto the I-10 freeway. They pull up next to the sentra and pull out two assault rifles and begin to fire at the car, 3 victims died in the shooting, while Michael Fortescue survived.
7. Marvin Mercado fled to the Phillipines and lived there for 10 years, until he was caught and extradited back to the U.S, while in the Phillipines, he married the daughter of a construction manager, her name was Nicole Romero.
8. Marvin Mercado was using the fake name "Mark Alexander V. De Los Angeles" and Pierre Mercado was using the fake name "Angel C. Reyes" while living in Manila, Phillipines.
9. Marvin Mercado and his brother Pierre Mercado ran an internet cafe business in Manila, Phillipines.

List of victims that were shot at or killed by the Van Nuys Asian Boys gang.

1. Anthony Evans and Tim Mellon, both off-duty marines, were being mad dogged by Van Nuys ABS while out driving one night, Tim Mellon was shot in the jaw, but survived.
2. Miguel Limon and Armando Estrada, both Valerio street gang members, were shot and killed by Van Nuys ABS on April 14, 1995.
3. John Gregory, an innocent bystander, was shot and killed during a home invasion robbery on September 21, 1995. The mercado brothers were trying to rob an asian family that had lived at the location but had moved away.
4. Oscar Palis, 17, A Jeffrox gang member was shot and killed on August 26, 1995 on Devonsire & Woodman Ave. Van Nuys ABS was suspected of the murder.
5. Paul Vu, 16, Ben Liao, 16, Cheng Peng, 18, were playing video games at the "Dim Sum Cafe", they were suspected of being Wah Ching gang members and were shot & killed on the I-10 freeway by Van Nuys Asian Boys on August 1, 1995.
6. Cu Duong, A former Van Nuys Asian Boys gang member agreed to testify against the gang, he was shot and killed execution style in the street infront of his home on March 23, 1996.
7. Rogelio Ferman, A Mara Salvatrucha 13 gang member was shot and killed on July 23, 1995 by Van Nuys Asian Boys gang in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, California.
8. Dong Dihn, The father of Van Nuys Asian Boys gang member, Truong "Kidd" Dihn, 23, was shot and killed after his son snitched on the gang in court. He was killed at his house in San Jose, California in 1998.
9. Tony Nguyen, He was shot and killed by Van Nuys ABS with a shotgun at a party at the golden valley auditorium in valley glen on March 18, 1996 at 12:45am.
10. Two Wah Ching gang members ages 20 and 26 were shot and killed at the West Covina Bowl, a 24 hour bowling & billiards facility on July 6, 1995. Van Nuys ABS were responsible for the murders.
11. Wah Ching gang member shot and killed in a San Gabriel coffee shop in 1995. VN ABS was resonsible.
12. Pentreath shooting, DEA/FBI had this listed in the video, idk what or who "Pentreath" is/was
13. September 25, 1995, Topanga Canyon shooting.
14. I can't find the article, but someone had talked about it on here, back in the mid 90s, Asian Boyz and Chinatown Boyz got into a shootout at a cafe, and a stray bullet hit some girl in the head and she died.

1. Van Nuys ABZ came out 1987. Before that it was Van Nuys Asian Boy Style ABS.

2. Their mom was a tax accountant. Their aunt was in real estate.

3. Fake news. Most weren't A student's. That came from a story about David who was an A student.

4. By late 1980s most of Valerio turned ABZ already. Most of the young cambodians claimed ABZ, only a few of the older cambodians were ABS. Valerio Street X3 and ABS/Z got along. They grew up together. The beef came about because of Blythe Street BST who are clicked up with VST. One of the ABS ogs paralyzed a BST by running him over with his car.

5. Spider the leader of VST started it when he came out of the pen. He told ABZ to move out. One night VST came into Valerio deep and strapped. They had a couple of handguns but ABZ had firepower. Horsey and Elfie from VST got killed. Spider got shot in the balls.

6. They were wah ching. That cafe was a wc hangout. One of them was playing an arcade game and put WC in the high score rankings. That's how AB marked them. They lit the car up on the freeway. 3 of the 4 died.

7. Mercados didnt flee. They went to philippines on vacation. When they found out the cops were looking for them, they just never came back.

1. Dont know anything about this case. Just heard they shot at some marines on the freeway.

2. Horsey and Elfie from Valerio got killed. At least 2 others wounded.

3. Heard the guy had a kitchen knife so they smoked him.

4. Not sure if he was from jfx, but he was rolling deep with 3-4 carloads. He could've been jefrox (or rpb was a rumor too) or just an associate.

5. They were WC. Everyone before the trial said they were WC including cops and reporters. During the trial, they tried to play them off as innocent victims.

6. He snitched on killing at the illegal race track near the freeway off ramp iirc. I knew his nephew Tricky from Van Nuys ABS. Tricky is in l.a. county right now fighting a murder case. ABS killed a veterano from San Fer I think. Either san fer or one of those pacas barrios. Not sure.

7. MS pulled a .45 on AB. Shootout. MS runs out of bullets. AB chased them down. MS car crashes. MS driver runs and leaves his homie. AB finishes off the passenger.

8. Cops and the framed ABZ dumper and widget for this killing. Real shooter never caught.

9. Tony Nguyen wasnt killed by AB. Tony nguyen knew and hung out with some of the viet Van Nuys ABS. It started off as a fight between tony nguyen girlfriend and another girl. RPB, ABS and ABZ and other gangs were there. Everyone got straps, several ppl got hit. It was a flier party. No one really knows whose bullet killed that guy.

10.-11. Van Nuys AB put in a lot of work in SGV back in the days. Monterey Park ABZ was a newer clique with younger heads back then and VN AB and LA ABI looked after them and handled a lot of their biz.

12. Not sure what case this was.

13. There were several cases around topanga canyon. Not sure which one. AB use to go to this vietnamese pool hall on topanga canyon blvd. Also ABS had coffee shops in canoga park like Cafe Latte.

The worst topanga canyon AB shooting I heard of was when they killed a pregnant RPC on the 101 freeway. This RPB and his pregnant girl who might've been RPC broke down on the freeway. AB passed by and noticed them, exited, turned around and got back on the 101. They lit the couple up. I think the rpb was changing his tire. His pregnant girl got hit and her and the baby died.

14. That was late 2000s. Didnt involve any of these 1990s guys. It was van nuys abs youngsters from the 2000s. They shot a wah ching and a Chinatown boy outside of lollipop or tapioca express and a stray bullet killed a girl. Turtle from van Nuys abs is doing life for that.

ABS rolled up on 2 wah ching and 1 Chinatown boy. The 2 wc ranked out. The chinatown boy claimed. AB shot 1 of the wc and the crab. Stray bullet hit a girl walking into the boba place. She died.

With all the shootings and killings valley ABS/ABZ did, was there any get back? What valley gangs retaliated and who from ABS/ABZ was jumped, shot at or killed from the retaliation? This is probably answered already here somewhere in the Asian forms but I can’t find it. One thing about gangs is everyone mentions the shooting and the killings. It’s hard not to talk about that since the police and the news record it. But I remember back in the days a few good fights between rivals. And I remember a few people getting jumped or stomped out pretty bad too.

Only 1 Van Nuys ABS got killed by a rival.

Baby G, Thien Pham around late 90s.

They were shooting it out with North Side Satanas, chasing them down the street. He was driving and he got hit in the head and he 360d his legend on the street.

1 Van Nuys ABZ killed but it wasnt gang related.

Lil Too Short, Bunthan Roeung around late 2000s.

He got killed coming back from a club during a road rage argument. The car he was in and a car full of bloods got into an argument on the street and the black dudes fired a shot at them. He got hit and died at the hospital.

What about Roosevelt "Demon" Heng, you said he OD'd on drugs in another topic, was he the last Van Nuys ABS to die, he passed away on October 6, 2017? I remember you said he was VN ABS before he moved to long beach or someshit.

So that would make 3 dead Van Nuys ABS/Z in total.

Thien "Baby G" Pham - shot & killed by Northside Satanas
Bunthan "Lil Too Short" Roeung - shot & killed by some bloods
Roosevelt "Demon" Heng - OD'd on drugs while incarcerated

And if thats the case then damn, VN ABS put in more work then losses. Wah Ching on the other hand, took hella losses by ABS/ABZ.

Demon was originally from Long Beach ABZ, he moved to the valley and jumped into Van Nuys ABZ. His brother is also Van Nuys ABZ.

A lot of Van Nuys ABS and ABZ have died but only 2 ,Baby G from ABS and Lil Too Short from ABZ, were killed by other gangs.

2. February 23, 1996 - Asian Boyz Viphear Tan shooting.
3. February 25, 1997 - 13506 sherman way rave party shooting, one person killed, hand grenade thrown into party by ABZ, hand grenade didn't go off.
4. August 26, 1995 - Asian Boyz Family Fun Center shooting.

These was mostly L.A. ABI and Monterey Park ABZ going at it with WC.

10. That's kicker from la abi. WC shot and killed him inside the pool hall in that famous video.

A few more AB-WC i remember around that time 1994-1995:

1. AB was dropping off some girls at a san Marino party. They saw some wc at the party. They sprayed the party with aks. Killed 2, hit 7 more. I don't think any wc got hit though. The shooters was la Abi.

2. AB shot up a house a wc lived. Hit the wc younger sister while she was sleeping in bed. She rip iirc. I think this one was monterey park abz.

3. AB went to a wc house. Dad opened the door. AB asked the dad to call his son out. Dad refused to call the son. AB shot and killed the dad at the front door. No one knew which side did this one. Could've been la, mp. Some suspected vn too.

Van Nuys ABS was pretty deep back in the days. They had a lot of heads all over san Fernando valley even had heads in Simi valley.

Van nuys ABS hangouts back in the 1990s, plush cue (Roscoe and desoto) in Winnetka, billiards connection in Northridge, coffee shops and pho restaurants in reseda and canoga park.

Van Nuys ABZ was mostly in van nuys, some in panorama city and sepulveda.

Found 3 more cases about the Asian Boyz that I did not list here earlier

1."The earliest slaying LAPD linked to the Asian Boyz gang occurred at a Sylmar drag racing spot in 1993, when all but one of its principal members were still teenagers. Police arrested two members of the Asian Boyz on suspicion of fatally shooting a bystander because he had honked his horn at them. It was this killing that prompted authorities to target the gang, but it was not until 1996, when the state's key witness Cu Doung was gunned down outside of his girlfriend's house in San Jose, California."

2."In 1995, the Asian Boyz gang committed home-invasion robberies, they bound an 84 year old woman with duct tape in her Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California home so they could steal equipment they heard she had. They allegedly stole nearly $100,000 from the home of a jewelry dealer. And while relatives of one of the gang members were at a wedding, investigators said the group burgled the wedding party's house. Detective Tuller said the gang stole an estimated $500,000 over a two year period, the money helped maintain apartments and houses in the san fernando valley and san gabriel valley, it also paid for souped-up hondas and other cars."

3."May 1996 Freeway shooting, Asian Boyz gang member, Truong "Kidd" Dinh was arrested, and made a deal to testify in exchange for immunity."

Looks like the "Motijo" shooting that the FBI had labeled, was when some guy named Lennon Motijo stopped at a convenience store with some friends on the night of July 22, 1995. They were being watched by Van Nuys Asian Boyz from across the street inside of a car and were mistaken for rival gang members. As soon as they left the store and got into their car, Van Nuys Asian Boyz followed them in two seperate cars, a Supra and a CRX, drove up to the car that Lennon Motijo was in and fired shots at it, he survived.

1995 - A shooting at the North Hills Shopping Center Mall on Devonshire & Balboa between Van Nuys Asian Boys & Wah Ching. 1 asian male victim was pronounced dead at the scene in the parking lot of the shopping center.

September 28, 1995 - Peach Avenue shooting, ballistics evidence connected the same gun used in other shootings, to this shooting. Gun was used by Van Nuys Asian boys gang in a driveby shooting.

There's a few more cases that anyone can view online, you just have to look and read, For example, In 1995, Van Nuys ABS drove up to a cafe that was a known Wah Ching hang out in the SFV. Van Nuys ABS drove up in the front parking lot, pulled out a gun and fired at the front windows of the cafe and drove off. No one was hit in the shooting, but the windows were shattered from the bullets.

In October 1998, Van Nuys Asian Boys attempted to kill another snitch within their gang, Paolo Prado, 16, and his mother were almost killed in a shooting, but survived the attempt and were put into witness protection.

Paolo lived in an apartment across the street from Cafe Latte in canoga park which was a major ABS hangout in the 1990s.

Everyone knew where he and his mom lived.

There was no wah ching hangout in the san fernando valley 1990s.

That's probably a typo. A lot of the coffee shops ABS shot up that were wc hangouts were in SGV not SFV.

There were few chinese/vietnamese coffee shops in the sfv and those were ABS hangouts in the 90s.

Maybe old school WC and Viet Ching and Joe's boys coffee shops back in the 80s or earlier in sfv but not the 90s.

Luc huyen cam in Reseda which was the main ABS coffee shop back in the days was a WC coffee shop but that was before ABS.

1. Little Boy from ABS

He was facing life for that Sylmar race track murder. When ABS killed the snitch on his case, he got a sweetheart deal. He was out by early 2000s. 5-6 years for murder.

Believe it or not a lot of Van Nuys ABS/ABZ heavy hitters were not part of that 1995-1996 group. They were already locked up by the time of the crackdown.

Bullet (founder of Van Nuys ABZ, beat his murder case against ABB)

Little Boy ABS (sylmar race track murder)

Evil (Killed a couple RPB at roscoe and de Soto pool hall)

Chino (went in for home invasion but was a heavy hitter, infamous for shooting a long Beach EFCC which caused problems with Long Beach ABZ)

Dumper and Widget (locked up for shooting 5-6 Lomas SSG 13 in front of a San Gabriel Valley high school)

Boomer (paralyzed a Blythe Street 13, beginning of the beef with Blythe Street and later their allies Valerio Street)

Those main guys didn't even catch a case with the 1995-1996 group.

Sam Chan - Van Nuys Asian Boys gang - In June 1998, Chan was wanted for a connection in 8 murders in the San Fernando Valley. He was a documented member of the Van Nuys Asian Boys gang, and was eventually caught and arrested in Utah in 1998. He was involved in the Viphear Tan home robbery that occurred at 4:00am on February 23, 1996.

Soperry "Baby Face" Chea, 18, A Van Nuys Asian Boys gang member stabbed rival L.A Chinatown Oriental Lazy Boyz gang member Harry Yang, 21, to death on April 17, 2005. Yang was stabbed to death during a cambodian new year celebration at the Wat Khmer Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles, California located at 1720 Beverly Blvd. At about 9:00pm, a fight broke out involving members of the Asian Boyz and Oriental Lazy Boyz street gangs. At some point during the fight, Chea drew a knife from his pocket and stabbed Yang two to three times, Chea then walked away and threw the knife over a fence. Yang collapsed from severe blood loss, and later succumbed to his wounds at the hospital. Chea was convicted and sentenced to 18 years to life.

that Thanh "Turtle" Nguyen, A Van Nuys Asian Boys gang member attempted to shoot and kill a rival Wah Ching gang member and a Chinatown Boy gang member outside of a Tapioca Express in Alhambra, California located at 228 Valley Blvd STE 105 on November 5, 2004. Nguyen drove up to the Tapoica Express in a white honda owned by his girlfriend, he spotted two rival gang members standing outside of the Tapoica Express, and asked them "where are you from?", one of the men replied with "Chinatown Boys", the other who was affiliated with the Wah Ching gang did not respond. Nguyen then pulled out a gun and started shooting at the two victims as they attempted to flee for cover. Prosecutors said Jasmine Ling, an innocent bystander who was entering the Tapoica Express when the shooting unfolded was shot in the back of the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Nguyen was convicted and sentenced to 100 years to life in prison and two consecutive life terms with the possibility of parole.

Babyface was originally Asian Soldiers/Souljahs. Cambodian gang that popped up in Valerio during the late 90s/early 2000s. Most of the Cambodian ABS/ABZ was gone from Valerio, most were locked up or moved away. Most Van Nuys ABZ left in the valley were vietnamese.

The Cambodian kids in Valerio started up their own gang. Asian soldiers/souljahs. They were operating for a little bit beefing with like JFX, AKP and VST and stuff. Eventually the shot caller of ABZ, filipino guy who ran ABZ gang module in county, got out of jail. All those Cambodian kids got checked. Their hood got dropped and most jumped into ABZ. Those Cambodian van nuys ABZ who killed that LA OBZ at the temple were ex Asian Souljahs who got put on ABZ.

Turtle was also van nuys ABZ I think. By this time ABS was mostly the older guys. By early 2000s most vietnamese youngsters were ABZ.

He was just the driver in that WC/CTB shooting. Down as fuck though. He never snitched on the shooter. Shooter got away. wah ching ranked out but they still shot him because the Chinatown boys acted hard when he claimed. CTB and Van Nuys ABZ didn't have an active beef at the time. That's why the CTB claimed and the WC didn't. ABZ shot them both anyway. Then they accidentally killed a girl walking into the Boba place.

Late 90s-early 2000s was weird for Van Nuys ABZ. A lot of the ABZ youngsters were vietnamese. Before most vietnamese were ABS and most cambodians were ABZ. They were also going down to sgv a lot and doing dirt in sgv more than sfv. Around this time, Van Nuys ABZ killed 2 V-Boyz im sgv too which are West Side ABZ allies.

Here is the news article of when Van Nuys ABZ killed the 2 V-Boyz in the SGV.

"Danny Chan, 18 and Jimmy Tran, 18 were fatally shot after a fight at a party the day before easter sunday, march 22, 2008 in Rosemead, California. The shooters have only been identified as three or four asian men ages 18 to 20 years old based on the circumstances of the attack, "we think the suspects are gang members". The bullets struck both Chan and Tran as they attempted to flee from a fight at a party in their red acura, causing them to crash into a white metal fence at the intersection of park street & charlotte avenue. Jimmy Tran, 18, survived the gunfire, but later died at a hospital from his wounds, Danny Chan, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene."

Found another shooting committed by Van Nuys ABS that wasnt talked about in that gangland episode or on here.

"On the night of the Vietnamese New Year on April 4, 1995, Van Nuys Asian Boys shot at Valerio Street gang member Eugene Alonzo, 21, he was shot in the buttocks, but managed to escape and survive the night of the shooting."

Another case on VN ABS

"During the 1998 trial on the Van Nuys Asian Boys, four former members of the Van Nuys Asian Boys gang were set to testify. Cu Duong, Truong "Kidd" Dinh, Paolo Prado and Chris "Johnny Elf" Dang. Duong, a 24 year old metal worker was shot to death early saturday, march 24, 1996 as he returned home from work. Cu Doung was found sprawled in the street outside of his house in the 19100 block of Friar street after neighbors reportedly heard gunfire, police said. He had been shot repeatedly in the head with a semiautomatic pistol, they said he was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no witnesses or suspects in the shooting, but robbery has been ruled out as a motive. Duong, described by neighbors as a quiet man who had lived in his home for about 15 years, arrived home regularly from his job at a Sylmar machine shop around 12:30am."

Now I know that Dumper and Widget from Van Nuys ABS who are serving life now were responsible for the murder of Kidd's dad, after they found out he was a snitch. But I wonder if those two were also responsible for the murder of this snitch, Cu Doung. shit could be connected, but who knows. It's obvious asian boys did the killing, its just the shooters were never caught for this case.
