Re: Hispanic gangs with Filipino influence
La County jail late 90s, early 2000s
2600 at first, later 3400
He was originally in asian gang module but I ran into him at 2600
from what i heard was he was claiming LA Satanas and not valley because Van Nuys AB was deep in gang module, including the brother in law of the ABS he killed
One day he was down at visiting with his mom and several of the AB had visits too
One of the ABZ visitors spotted him and told the guys on the inside that he was valley STS not l.a. and he was the driver of the shooting (the shooter was in pc already, they couldn't put him in asian gang module)
This all went down with Kevin mom right there, she heard everything
Kevin mom went to osj because she was concerned for Kevin safety
So he got moved to 2600 (asian mainline) out of asian gang module
Later in 2000 he came back up to gang module 3400 Denver with us Filipinos and koreans
Funny thing is we got into shit with viet/Chinese in Denver row
They were tripping because they were way deeper than us
They backed down because ABZ backed us
The shot caller for ABZ was filipino and he was kevins former cellie LOL
All the viet ABS and ABZ wouldve rolled them up with us LOL

Re: Hispanic gangs with Filipino influence
Years ago on another thread it was mentioned that MP13 was originally Mexican Pinoy 13. At one point in the 90's MP13 had a click in Orange County. The OC click was entirely Filipino except for one white guy I know of. They weren't around for too long. Interesting to hear MP13 in LA joined Highland Park. I'm getting old now but I believe Crazys (CYS) gang in LA was started by Koreans and Filipinos. Now CYS is completely Mexican.

^^Now thinking more about it maybe CYS was originally Korean and Chicano? I'm sure Forty knows the answer.

Mabuhay Pinoy = Long Live Pinoy
They were beefing with avenues so a lot of Mexicans joined
I've heard Mexican Pinoy 13
Also heard Mexican Power 13 but that could've been a dissed
Saying that the Mexicans were the muscle for MP13
But it also could be what their Mexican homies claimed since they can't claim mabuhay pinoy on the inside
Like I've heard Mexican PR claimed Puro raza, Mexican LVM claim Los Valor Malos or some shit.
Easier for the Mexicans in satanas or Diablo 13 or hell side 13 to claim their hood. No Pinoy in the name.

Echo Park was more flip than korean
They had koreans too and a korean started up a Koreatown CYS
But I dont think the eses respected the Koreatown CYS
They were korean style and look and eses look down on that
But the eses give props to their filipino ogs, the flips put them on the map in echo park

Re: Hispanic gangs with Filipino influence
Thanks Forty for the correction on CYS. As for MP13, I to always heard them as Mabuhay Pinoy 13. The first time I heard the name Mexican Pinoy was from someone on this site claiming to be around MP13 in NELA back then. The only place I've seen anyone mention that name for MP was here. I'm also curious about Flip Side 13. Do you know if Flip Side 13 had any Chicano homies? Flip Side 13 is a name I heard about in the 90's but I never knew much about them. As time went on I stopped hearing the name.
