I always thought West LA was West of La Brea. Geer, School Yard, West Blvd, & Black Stone are all east of La Brea. Not sure about Bac Street Crips?

I always thought West LA was West of La Brea. Geer, School Yard, West Blvd, & Black Stone are all east of La Brea. Not sure about Bac Street Crips?

you're right, West L.A. is everything WEST of all those neighborhoods you mentioned. Those areas are considered West Adams, Midtown/Mid City, and Baldwin Hills, although they are located on the Westside of L.A., but technically, they're not West L.A. Just PART of L.A.'s Westside.

I’ve seen long debates and articles about where West LA begins on forums. Manly said it’s La Cienega and I tend to agree. The areas east of La Cienega start to feel more like Mid City and other areas.
