It doesn't always get hit up, but good chances are that something like XIV will be right along with it.

Up North its just understood that 14 is what we represent! Sometimes its written next to a Varrio's name and sometimes its not! Really its irrelevant! The only time it would be relevant is if their was a hood that was neither claiming Norteno or Sureno! Then they would not use either 13 or 14! The Bulldogs, Maravillas and Border Brothers are the only examples of this though!

All hoods that have a street number (18th Street, 38th Street, 41st Street, Clanton 14th Street, Primera Flats 23, etc)

All Maravilla gangs except Raskals 13 Maravilla, but the 13 stands for “marijuana” I’m told.

Choppers 12

ROB - tagbangers from around 110th and Budlong. Stands for Really Out Bombing, Ruthless On Budlong, and other terms. They’ve moved beyond just being a tagging crew and do act like a gang — they claim blocks and go at it with South Los 13, and possibly other nearby gangs. They may eventually earn the 13 like a lot of tagbangers-turned-gangs.

Opal Street Locos 15 - started off as Lil Opal Locos in the early-mid 80’s and took what was once territory that was claimed by VNE13. Another green light gang like the Maravillas.

There’s a rumor OSL15 either used to be Maravilla or tried to become Maravilla. I talked to a member who joined OSL in like 1992 and he said they were never MV and never tried to be. He also remembers them in the 80’s but was too young to join. My guess is people think OSL was MV simply because they’re another green light gang in the same part of town as the MVs.
