Clicks that became gangs in Los Angeles

Unread post by alexalonso » October 17th, 2012, 2:15 pm

I was really interested in the string about crews that became gangs and was thinking about how many clicks have actually became gangs. On the Green Light stringthere was come talk of clicks that became gangs because of being green lit.

Some that come to mind are:

- 18th Street - probably the first click to become a gang from Clanton
- Orphans - was a click of 18th Street years ago.
- Lowell street was a click of El Sereno Rifa

I think Satanas (STS) was a click of Temple St. back in the day. Either that or someone from the Pinoy Locos click of Temple St. that started STS.

the 2 stories i heard about satanas origins:

1. they were a clique of tst pinoys that broke off

2. they were a car club with tst members that later became its own gang

SO ARE YOU SAYING 43RDS ARE NO LONGER AVENUES OR THEY WERE 43RDS AND BECAME ABSORBED BY AVENUES?

ON THE FLATS I SEEN A DOCUMENTARY (YOUTUBE) SOME GUYS FROM CUARTO FLATS AND THEY WERE AT THE RIVER AND THE GRAFFITI SAID JUST "FLATS". EVEN ON THE LIST! IT JUST SAID FLATS THEN LATER SEPERATED INTO 4TH AND 1ST. SO THEY WERE ONE AT A TIME?

43RD HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AVENUES
AND FOREVER WILL BE IS THE ATTITUDE OUT THERE

SO I NEVER SAID THAT 43RD BROKE AWAY
ALL I SAID, IS THAT THEY CREATED THEIR OWN SEPARATE VARRIO OF THE AVENUES

I GUESS THE ONLY WAY YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYING WOULD BE LIKE ME PUTTING IT LIKE O.T.N.C. WITH IT'S DIFF KLIQUES., IF AT SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE INSANE BOYS OR OLDEN BOYS WOULD CLAIM INSANE OR OLDEN FIRST BEFORE OxT, BUT THEY WOULD STILL CLAIM ALLEGIANCE TO THE OLD PUEBLO VIEJO AND RIDE AGAINST SHELL TOWN GAMMA AND 38, THEN YOU COULD GET A GLIMPSE AND UNDERSTAND HOW CYPRESS AND 43RD ROLL DIFFERENTLY UNDER THE SAME AVENIDAS BANNER., THEY'RE BOTH CLIQUES OF THE ORIGINAL AVENUES, BUT THEY BOTH HAVE THEIR OWN ZONES AND RECRUIT FOR THEIR FAMILY. BUT THEY'RE NOT ALL ONE SAME AND THE SAME.

KnightKrawlers 13 had a quick run...

Hyde Park Locos they eventually got absorbed by Inglewood13, thats why alotta yousters claim theyre click and hyde park like a click. Alot of them bang Hyde Park really hard now that florencia is up the street.

Atc 13 was a click right?

Hawthorne thug family, was started by a reputed IFG 94 member, the homies never wanted anything outside of Inglewood, so the founder had to leave, lefted a power vaccum and ten yrs later there cripsnow.

RMS????!!??

Poserz 13 was a black nd mixd click, now mexican gang.

W/s players 13 is a westside click of ss players 13 in the lennox\ inglewood area.

FIU used to be a Florencia click back on the eastside...very small but got riderz

83 Hoover??? Some consider that still a click of ETG nd vice Versa.

Nh46+48 clicks of 40s got there own shit going now, used to get laughed at by the 40s.

Neighborhood Families click of Family Swans, now there own set..

Family Swans click of IFG AND Swans been seen as a gang but still a click of those two.

74 & 83 are together.....always have been to my knowledge. 52, Selo, and Do Lows do their thing but usually 74 & 83 get down as one....hustle fantastic fours and groovin gangster side (74-83). Got fam over there and 83 Hoova always respected the Trays...until that shit popped off, they never acted, behaved, and I have never heard it mentioned that they were a click. You might know better...I don't talk to those old drunks anymore.

The more I think about it...it don't add up. Trays come from original WS Crips supposedly. Hoovas were around before all that and joined WS. Hoova Groovas.....52 was their own thing. I could get at one of my uncles, but 83 Hoova was never a click of 8Tray Gangsta....unless you going back to Tookie's days...way before my time.

Back in the day it was a crew called Beat Down Kriminals in Compton who turned Fruit Town Piru. The Trouble Gangster Crips were called Nothing But Trouble back in the day and actually had an east and west side. The east side Troubles were actually East Coast Crips (6 pacc) and the west side Trouble was in Lemeirt Park. They worst enemies were another crew who turned Crip called We Don't Care. They call themselves Don't Care Crips and ride with the Neighbor Hood Crips. The Dragnets of Gardena turned Shot Gun Crips.

I personally don’t think there was ever a gang called just "Flats" ... nothing else

gotta get at some old East Siders for that one… way older than me for sure

just like there was never one single gang called just "Maravilla" ... there was Maravilla RIFA, but that’s different …that’s was The Rifa

Primera Flats / Cuatro Flats / Tortilla Flats / Russian Flats all old East Los distinct varrios with different origins but close to each other geographically

Again – we’re talking about “OFFICAL” Varrios

18th Street was never officially accepted by Clanton 14th as a clique, that’s why they started their own thing: La Diesiocho

Now you want to talk official

Here goes some that I know are confirmed since decades ago:

Carnales was once an official clika off South x Los, that’s why they hit up CxL just like SxL

Barrio Pobre was once an official clika off South x Los

Moeriya Maravilla was once an official clika off Marianna Maravilla

I “heard” Frasier Maravilla was once an official clika off Ford Maravilla. That would make sense to me though cus there both off Olympic Blvd going up to Whittier Blvd

Just a few blocks down from each other

More to come (if others participate)….

Those from these hoods can confirm or deny...

Queens Str. a click of IFG
Squiggly Lane a click of Denver Lane

I have heard that a few Harlem created 40's (Lil Phil, Gip). At least 40's Ave. Never heard that they were officially a click.

58 or Catwalks clicks of 60's??
Inglewood MAG?? click of IVC??

i've chopped it up with enough real Rollin 60's to know that yes

51 Catwalks became official RSC

many older 58 NHC turned offical RSC

i think most 58 NHC youngsters today are just pushing = 58 NHC

................

@ Inglewood Family

only Queen Street broke off from IFG?

so all the other Blood sets in Inglewood NHP, CMG ect ect didnt have their origin in The Family?

Ive only heard about Queen Str. CMG and NHP supposedly have other founders/influences.

Alonso wrote on the TRodgers post that City Stones clicked up Jungle Boys...so R20's clicked up Gramercy Str. Hustlers, Victoria Str. Hustlers, Black Demons, etc?

Only gang that the big homies didnt help start was NHP, the others were started by Gs from families back in the late 70s early 80s. None were clicks, Inglewood Families was the first Inglewood Gang period. So hand and hand.

I was busted with a cat from Inglewood Family in 1986

He was a straight fool … he stayed down shitty amongst a sea of Crips at that time

he would always bust out his Dracula impression: I vant to suck your Blooooood!

I recall he told me once – we got along firme – that when he got out he was going to start a clique off IFG

called BBB = Block Blvd Bloods
