SS VARRIOS THAT PUT YOUR CAR ON THE MAP?

Unread post by Lonewolf » November 24th, 2013, 12:36 pm

WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT LA COUNTY RANFLAS "OR" AREAS "OR" EVEN TOWNS, THERE'S ALWAYS ONE OR TWO VARRIOS VARRIO NAMES THAT STAND OUT.,

FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN YOU HEAR OF EAST LA, IT IT MARAVILLA THAT RINGS OUT
(AND YES I KNOW MV ARE NOT ONE HOOD) BUT THE NAME MARAVILLA IS ALMOST LIKE SYNONYMOUS WITH EAST LA

IT YOU THINK OF BOYLE HEIGHTS, IT WOULD BE THE FLATS AND LA WHITE FENCE AS THE MOST RECOGNIZED BHTS VARRIO OVER THE DECADES

WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT NORTH EAST, THE AVENUES ARE ALWAYS MENTIONED

AND IF YOU TALK ABOUT LONG BEACH, YOU CAN'T NOT HAVE A CONVERSATION WITHOUT THE LONGO NAME BEING THROWN OUT

IN PLACES LIKE MY ADOPTED NEIGHBORHOOD OF SAN PEDRO, THERE IS NO BIGGER NAME THAN RANCHO SAN PEDRO., RSP IS THE NAME IN EVERYBODYS MIND WHEN THEY HEAR OF SAN PEDRO

WHEN YOU HEAR ABOUT EL MONTE IN THE S G V ., IT IS EL MONTE FLORES

SO WHAT VARRIOS, HOODS OR GANGS (WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL THEM) RING THE LOUDEST FROM ANYWHERE IN YOUR OPINION?

Yeah for the west SGV if id say Lomas, the east SGV definetly Puente and Bassett.
Nela obviously the Aves but from the late 90's till now HLP and TVR have been smashing and balling and got some up and comers in the system.
BHTS PF,WF and dont forget VNE.
ELA im gonna switch it up and say TLS and CT, TLS really made a name for themselves in the 90's with their bloody MV wars, and GL got the history but I think CT got more riders lately.

Real recongize Real ^

and I absolutely agree with both points

and you're rigtht on the money, Geraghty Loma is older than v City Terrace by a couple of decades at least

even tho City Terrace is old too, at least the 1960s, perhaps even 1950s, they're definitely older than Lote Maravilla thats for sure

Im overly familiar with both varrios but GL and CT

GxLoma youngsters are mostly stuck on drugs right now, as most East Los varrios are these days. it is what it is...

but City Terrace have been way more active last couple of years...

I/we got love for those camaradas from CT and they got love for the TLS gang

i agree with SGV definitely Puente 13 in general terms, without the individual clique varrios, y tambien Bassett Grande
Lomas but of course, and SanGra also

El Monte Flores, and throw in there Bolen Park on the nlist of the names that made the SGV resound all over

I also agree with the Boyle Heights VNE factor
But i disagree with HLP and TVR

HLP has been getting bigger and making big connects over the last couple of decades, but their name is not as big as the Avenues in the wider circles of the world wide cotorreo from old

so too Toonerville, yeah they're known in the Los, and they're known to the media and cop circles
but they're not synonymous to north east l.a., they're most synonymous with Glendale
even Frog Town resonates bigger still, even though they're no longer the varrio they used to be

and not to disrespect city terrace or the lott, but no matter how much work they may be putting in
if you hit the average vato from wherever, outside the county, and you ask him if they ever heard of..
the lott
or
maravilla
the first one they'd tell you is that they heard of maravilla
but i don't know about the lott
i say this because i have asked gente
and most ain't never heard of the lott
some have heard of geraghty loma
and very few have heard of city terrace
but most have heard of maravilla

so that's what i'm talking about

what varrios resonate far and wide through the eras.,
and not just a decade or two!

I guess my views are more towards living in the area, from statewide view I see your point. I was speaking on the dudes who I think man for man been putting in work. HLP been coming on hard lately till they got a injunction but they were actually putting in work on the Aves. TLS and CT is pretty known on the ES as having some strait killers. I cant say there is one particular MV that really strikes too much fear, but as a whole they are a handful. The SGV is so big I consider it two cars, east SGV (Puente,Bassett,Valinda) and west (EMF, SanGra, Lomas etc...) From a Known standpoint, yes Aves, MV, WF, Flats are the most known in their cars but I wouldnt say the most feared anymore.

Since I'm on the outside looking in I can definitely comment without malice or bias.
Growing up in the Valley there were definitely gangs from ELA,LA,SS, and SGV that we had heard of.

ELA:
White Fence
Primera Flats
Hazard
Maravilla(No idea about clicks just Maravilla)
Cuatro Flats

LA:
18 Street
Temple
Clanton
Harpys(only cuz they went to school in the valley)

SS:
Florencia

NELA:
Avenues

SGV:
La Puente(No idea about clicks we just knew Puente was a gang city)
El Monte(No idea about clicks we just knew El Monte was a gang city)

hahaha

That’s cus you only hang out with Moses, Noah and Methuselah  withcha old asses!!

But if you were active during the Stoner era and afterwards in East Los …. That’s the key

There’s no way you could not have heard about us

...............

Example:

I personally didn’t run into too many Rollin 60’s in the system (mid 1980s thru 1993) matter of fact, only a very few

But I ran into and met tons of Hoovers and East Coast Crips

Does that mean that Rollin 60s weren’t “active” or werent “known” ...

It was just my own personal expeiernce …

it is what it is…

and I dont worry if old ass, pruned up, long-gone, long forgotten vatos dont know about us... :P

the ones who needed to know... knew who the hell THE LOTT 13 SURENOS Gang were

Just listen to what Aztec – who was active in East Los during that era or anyone who was …

.....

Also – since the title says “VarrioS” …

okay – which Maravilla varrio are you referring to?

Cus just like all Crips aint the same, same with MV gangs….

All MV gangs have different origins and most go at it with each other … so which MV gang are you specifically talking about?

i'm not asking about which varrio has been doing the most dirt out there

i'm asking about what varrios put certain areas on the map
and everyone far and wide has heard of them varrios

..

if you need a certain name put out there in place for the maravillas
el hoyo would be the one

For the valley side....i dont know if they were as big/well known as Blythe or Pacas but Vineland Boys seemed to make a name for themselves. But again, I dont know if they put the valley on the map like Pacas or BST.

Compton area-I think of CV Tortilla Flats. I was curious about Playboys? Did any one of their sides really make a name for themselves? I feel like I'd hear their name a lot as well.

all these Compton varrio's have had their time in the spot light and all have solid repas

however - La Tortilla Flats made most of the noise during their 1990s thru 2000s run,

I would absolutely agree with you on that

El Hoyo Maravilla was undisputely the biggest and baddest MV gang for decades

matter of fact - i would personally say since they started 1939 all the way up into the mid 90s

but what does that say about the gang that hmmm Im not gonna say made 'em tap out... but absolutely put the most hurt on them since the 80s till now... THE LOTT 13!

just look at when they put up their enemy list.... they dont hit up GL first... they always diss TLS 13 first and foremost

case closed 8)

plus - we've also had so sick wars with Lopez Maravilla and Marianna MV

who've have been fighting for the MV top spot for the last 15 years or so...

u vatos cant just say ... I pick MV...

Harbor Area, yeah WILMAS (ESxWS0, LONGO, and i'll include in there also RANCHO

If you break it down to the city of Long Beach in terms of varrios that put LB on the map, it would be WSLongo ESLongo, the old Barrio Viejo, Barrio pobre, and Barrio Small Town.

South East, yeah there's Canta Ranas for sure, Los Nietos been up there too, Pico Viejo, Varrio Norwalk, and I don't think Hawaiian gardens claim Southeast, but they're there too.

The 818 i would most def put San Fer, Pacas, Canoga Park, Clantone and BVN as the ones that put the SFV on the map.

Heading down towards the OC, in Santa Ana these varrios are always among the first to come oout of people's minds when you ask around., FxTroop, Felhi, Santa Nita, maybe Logan and Lopers

Near by in Anaheim, there's a few that ring out, but La Colonia is top ranking, then there's otehrs like Penguin City, Jungle City, and Citron.

In the North County of san Diego, the five that are oldenly known are Pozole, Esco Viejo, Carlos Malo, La Colonia Eden Gardens, and Encinitas Tortilla Flats.

Most of the old punk rock gangs still ring bells, I've noticed. People still talk about LADS and FFF even though neither gang has been active for years.

the most known car definitely has to be the 18st car, not only because it's a one gang car but for the size it sometimes has. there are times that you would have a vato running with the 18st car but it's rare, they would have to have sometime of connection with 18st. for example when I was in Delano a fool from rebels was kicking it when US because his cousin was from ns 18st.
