The oldest Maravilla varrio from East LA?

Unread post by alexalonso » November 19th, 2020, 1:30 am

Always thought that El Hoyo Maravilla was the oldest Maravilla but recent interview that we did revealed that Lomita Maravilla or Kern Maravilla are among the oldest. What you think.

Here is a link to the recent interview i did with Lil Train: https://bit.ly/2HjtJDU

Are you saying that El Hoyo Maravilla is the oldest?

To my knowledge Kern and Lomita are defunct right? I think Kern hood is now Marianna MV.

Kern MV is odd. There used to be two old OGs from that hood who would sell fruit by Jonsons market in MMV hood around 1990-93. Here and there later on ypu would see hitups of Kern MV and it looked like youngsters did it because of the style. You would still see a hitup nowadays, but like every bluemoon. I haven't heard of anyone in any jail running into anyone from that hood except real old cats locked up. That hood is a mystery. The story goes MMV came from KMV. I know Ford, HMV, KMV, LPM, and AMV are extremely old, but I dont know who would be the oldest. Mv was known to just be what tbe neighborhood in East Los was called, so it depends on who wanted to make a group out of it. Someone started first with the rest to follow. I'm sure it was probably within a year or two for that trend to spread to other spots. In the long run we would never know. I think HMV catches most of the fame because of their size was even bigger than today which is wild to think of.
