History of the Kansas Street 13 gang

"Originally founded as a football team known as the "Ohio Ave Gangsters" in South Gate, California, they adopted the neighboring block to officially form Kansas St in the late 70's. During the 1980's and 1990's, they would go on to become one of the fasting growing varrios in the southside area, forming clicks in neighboring cities like, Bell Gardens, Hollydale and Maywood. Today there most active click are the "Prospect Boys", who are located in Maywood, California.
