Wut players do u think will stay and wut players do u think will go next year?

Karl Malone got age and sum knee problems that mite make him not come back.

Shaq and Kobe mite sign a neal deal with anotha team.

Wut bout the rookies this year? Lakers got a good team of rokkies. Especially Walton, im bettin on him bein a laker 4 lyfe.

If they win it all this year kobe, shaq & phil jackson will probably stay...

Malone wants to pass wilt chamberlane in the scoring chart so he'll probably hang around for an year or two...

I'm pretty sure Gary Payton will leave LA no matter what happens this year....he's frustrated...

I HEARD RUMORS KOBE MIGHT GO TO THE CLIPPERS, BUT PAYTON IS DEFINATELY GONE AFTER THIS YEAR. HOMEBOY JUST WANTED THAT RING, AND THEN TO GET THE HELL OUT.

I dont' think Kobe goes anywhere anyways......with rings or not. I'm sure this is Karl's last year. Gary would probably stay but the Lakers are gonna move him 'cause he pouts too much and is a negative vibe......plus he is getting a little long in the tooth. Phil will probably be back and Shaq aint going nowhere. Rush may stay but he needs to get better......same goes for George and Walton.

the players wouldnt say anything even if they knew exactly what they would do after the season is over...they are concentrated on winning the championship right now... we'll just have to wait and see how things go with kobe regarding his court issues and phil jackson (if they dont win it all this year)...

Basically the Lakers are not just playing to win the nba title but playing to survive as a franchise.

Shaq's contract isnt up and he cant do anything unless he is traded.

Kobe is most likely gonna stay becuase he has no where else to go and its the best for him on the Lakers, whats the point of going to the Clippers its the same city but a different team he rather stick on the team he knows.

Payton , I dont know quite yet but he does whine a lot. He needs to come alive and prove something so then he will get minutes.

As far as Malone I am pretty sure he is retiring after this year, becuase look he can barely play with his knee, he is getting old and health issues come in, and if he does stay another season it wont matter about Kareem adul Jabbars score becuase its like 1800 points away and Karl cant make that much points in a season anymore so he probally will be retiring.

Derek's contract aalso comes to a end. Derek loves the Lakers and he most likely stay just like he did last year.

Phil is gonna stay if He has Kobe and shaq , because without a good star player Phil cant work that way just like what happned after Pippen and Jordan left the bulls, so if he has Kobe and Shaq I can almost garantee his gonna be there for next season.

I dont really think Jackson will still be there next year because he talks alot of retiring at least from wut I hear. He wants to go fishin real bad lol. Hes a really great coach n Id hate to see him leave cuz hes the perfect coach for the lakers.

I have no idea about Gary Payton, I neva knew there was an issue with him. Im still not sure wut it is so can sumbody clear it up?

Im pretty sure D Fish will be stayin, I hope i think Walton will stay.

I hope D. Fish stays.

Kobe will stay.

Shaq aint going no where.

We should keep Luke and Karl (if he wants to stay) and get rid of everyone else.

Gary style of play is not suited for the triangle. (you can't teach an old dog new tricks)

Fox was a good pick up when we got him but he's no longer effective.

Slava is getting worse every game.

Cook sucks

Grant is a grandpa'

Rush plays NO Defense and turns the ball over

and George is a coin flip.........he picks up lots of fouls......gets no love from the refs.

well, Karl Malone already opted out, he only took a paycut for one year, now if the lakers want to have him again and if he's healthy and willing to play again, they'll have to pay him more, just like every other team out there

DAMN!!!!!!!!!

HOPEFULLY HE'S JUST DOIN IT CAUSE OF HIS IMMATURITY.....TO TRY AND MAKE THE FRONT OFFICE REALIZE HOW IMPORTANT HE IS.......BUT HAS NO REAL INTENTIONS OF LEAVING.

WE'LL SEE HOW THINGS SHAKE OUT. LA IS STILL THE PLACE TO BE AND THE MOST REVERED NBA FRANCHISE.

AS FOR SHAQ, I WOULDN'T MIND TRADING HIM TO NEW JERSEY AND PICKING UP JASON KIDD AND KENYONE MARTIN AND MAYBE THE OTHER BIG KID FROM STANFORD (CAN'T THINK OF HIS NAME RIGHT NOW)

Well they will Kobe and Malone opting out, and Jackson retiring .

Also you might not believe this but my friends dad knows shaq, and when he spoke to shaq shaq told him he requested a transfer . So The Lakers future isnt looking to good.

If he ever decideds to get in shape and play Defense ALL GAME LONG I'm sure the Lakers priority would change back to Shaq.

Even though Kobe was struggling with his shot throughout the playoffs and especially against Detroit...he NEVER let up on Defense.

I say GUT the team if you want but keep Kobe.

Kobe should just sign with the Nuggets it'll save him time.
He wouldn't have to fly to court appearances he could drive.
He could buy a new house and live in it for a year and half then rent it out on a 4-40 year lease to someone. Make some money while he playing for a prison league.
