American rapper Tay-K jailed for 55 years for home invasion which turned deadly

When he was 16 he did a home invasion with a group. He did not pull the trigger, but he was found guilty of murder along with other charges.
Two days ago he was jailed for 55 years, with 27 years of it being non-parole.

"Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years in prison for his involvement in the murder of Ethan Walker. The teen rapper has maintained his innocence ever since the beginning of his trial.

He plead guilty for robbery but refused to take responsibility for the death of the alleged victim. So it’s no surprise that the teen rapper appealed the sentence a few days later.

Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the Texas rapper is seeking justice in his case. The man who actually pulled the fatal trigger was already sentenced to life in prison, but the jury thought a suitable punishment for Tay-K would be a 10,000 and life in prison."

He has recently appealed his jail sentence. Sources say a few weeks ago before he was found guilty of murder, he was optimistic and believed he would be acquitted of the murder charges. He pled not guilty, which led to a much harsher sentence than some of his peers who pled guilty and cooperated with authorities
