Re: Mc Ren
i really cant say anything as far as his street cred and shit, i'll leave that to bgCasper and the rest who live out there in cali, but out of all NWA cats i liked his voice and flow the most...

Re: Mc Ren
Ren is really the only NWA rapper who has stayed underground. I mean even his solo LP's are less known than what he did with NWA contrary to Eazy, Dre & Cube who have all gained mainstream success after NWA. I dont blame em cuz they put out some of the dopest westcoast records in history but Ren really kept it real and I think he was more happy to be underground. To each his own

Re: Mc Ren
i think it's because he joined the NOI and the lyrics in his solo records weren't appealing to mainstream america or at least from the corporate perspective.CyKo_ThuG wrote:Ren is really the only NWA rapper who has stayed underground. How's that? I thought he signed to Guerilla Funk (Paris' label) and was doing his new record.K1LLJOY wrote:mc ren dont exist no more
I've been a fan of MC Ren for a long time. I still play his "Kizz My Black Azz" EP almost every day. MC Ren is a final frontier!
Re: Mc Ren
Ren quit the Rap game. But I do beleave he was one of the most slept on Mc's in history. Him and AZ.

Re: Mc Ren
Man, that's truly a shame. I was really waiting for his new record to drop. It was supposed to be produced by Paris, and come out at early 2005. And MC Ren, one of the hardest rappers on the mic, whit Paris' beats could have killed this whole hip-pop thing that's been going on for a while. Damn, I'm disappointed for real.NoMaD wrote:Ren quit the Rap game.
Here's the link to Guerilla Funk netsite that tells about MC Ren: http://www.guerrillafunk.com/new_music/
Re: Mc Ren
shock of the hour was a classic from beginning to end...thats in my CD deck right now, Villian in black was the shit too.
Ren had a deep, raw ass voice with a solid ass delivery...definetly one of the best in NWA, his shit was distinctive.
thats a damn shame that paris/ren collabo aint gonna go down, paris is a legend, match that up with ren, that woulda be the record of the decade.
