How was Luis Casillas from Inglewood killed?

Luis Casillas, 20, was shot and killed on September 6, 2020 according to the LA Times, but they do not provide any details of he death. Not even a location.

Luis Casillas, a 20-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, Sept. 6, after being shot.

But on June 26, 2020, three months before he was killed, he was arrested for murder in the stabbing death of Horacio Maldonado, 43, that occurred in an alley at 10400 South Prairie Avenue (Inglewood) about 8:35 a.m. Saturday. His bail was $2 million as you can see in the booking information. My question is then how was he shot and killed on September 6, 2020 if he was supposed to be in the LA County jail awaiting trial?
- Did he bail out?
-Did he get shot by the deputies inside the jail?

If you look at his booking information it states "released" because he is "deceased". Does anyone understand this?
