Mexicans deserve our country more than us?

Unread post by Old Shatterhand » January 17th, 2008, 10:40 pm

Interesting article I found:

Mexicans deserve our country more than us?

Even if we pretend that property ownership is solely based on who got here first or one's race: Mexicans do not deserve our country more than us or the Native American tribes in the United States and here are some reasons I think might be why..

First, if you check the census you discover that the total number of Mexicans in the USA in 1930 were 1,422,533 out of a population of 122,775,046 making the percentage of Mexicans here 1.16% of the total US population. This number, though extremely low by today's standards, represented a tremendous growth in the Mexican population in the territory we now call the United States as they had not begun arriving in any number until after the Mexican War of Independence. Consider that in 1848, the non-native population of California is estimated to have been no more than 15,000. It should be obvious there were not a lot of Mexicans here by today's standards before the Southwest became US territory nor afterwards for many years.

In 1954 the US Government purposed to send back 1.2 million of them to Mexico with President Dwight D. Eisenhower stating:

"The rise in illegal border-crossing by Mexicans to a current rate of more than 1,000,000 cases a year has been accompanied by a curious relaxation in ethical standards extending all the way from the farmer-exploiters of this contraband labor to the highest levels of the Federal Government."

The US Government then deported approximately 80,000 Mexican nationals in the space of almost a year with an additional 500,000-700,000 leaving for Mexico before the campaign began. But the US Government didn't do anything to keep them out and so Mexicans flooded back in creating the unhealthy situation we see today.

The reason there were so few Mexicans here even after they overcame the Native Americans whom had been their historical enemies was due to the Spanish custom (inherited from when the Umayyad ruled Spain [Read about the Muslim invasion and their subsequent loss of southern Europe]) of granting large tracts of land to mostly absent landowners. And Mexico mismanaged things so badly under that system that many of the few Mexicans here during that time actually left before California became a state.

Now Mexican mestizos are a combination of Spanish and Amero-Indian from tribes in what we call Mexico today and make up to between 60%-75% of Mexican Nationals (note that full blooded Amero-Indians from tribes in Mexico continue to be oppressed). They have no ancestral claim on any land via the tribes here in the USA. That honor would go to the many Europeans that mix(ed) with the Amero-Indian tribes here. See the tribes here warred into antiquity with the pre-Columbian tribes there, and the post-Columbian mestizos to the point that the languages, cultures, etc.. are different. Even the warrior Aztecs/Mexicas who buried each male's child umbilical cord as a pledge they would live the life of a warrior dedicated to killing and enslaving other tribes and whom were the predominant pre-Columbian indigenous people dominating northern Mexico at the time of the Spanish conquest led by Hernan CORTES in the early 16th century never got a foothold here due to the fierce resistance of the northerly tribes here in what we call today the United States of America. As a result, you will find no Aztec/Mexica or Mexican on any tribal roll here in the United States. The Indians here would never allow it.

It was only with the advent of Spanish weapons and tactics that Mexicans finally got the upper hand against their ancient enemies and were able to conquer the southernly portion of what now is the USA. And when they did, the Spanish-Mexican mestizo invasion resulted in the deaths of so many (estimated to be as high as 70% of the Native Americans just living in California) just as the original non-mestizo Spanish invasions resulted in the deaths of so many in areas that came under Spanish control.

Finally, Mexico initiated an action that led to the Mexican-American War by attacking a 63-man US patrol in contested territory with a 2,000 man Mexican calvary killing 11 of them. The Thorton affair, as it became known, prompted President Polk to declare that Mexico had "invaded our territory and shed American blood upon the American soil" and war was declared. Mexico lost that war and the land they had once taken by force from the Native American tribes here.

But all was not lost for Mexico. Interpretations of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution ratified in 1868 to assure citizenship to freed slaves and their descendants was expanded to offer anyone born in the United States automatic citizenship. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (proposed by Emanuel Celler and heavily supported by many Democrat politicians for ideological and political power-building reasons and many Republican politicians so they could exploit cheap labor) abolished the national-origin quotas that had been in place here since the Immigration Act of 1924 which limited the number of immigrants who could be admitted from any country to 2% of the number of people from that country who were already living in the United States in 1890.

And tens of millions upon tens of millions of legal and illegal Latino immigrants rushed into the United States within a single generation. The results have not been good. In the SouthWestern United States today gone is much of the fields, groves, orchards, and farms that once helped define the American dream as well as provide relief within growing urban centers. In their place are sprawling concrete urban barrios held down by La Raza gangs preaching a political ideology of Reconquesta riddled with falsehoods.

In Los Angeles County (1 of 58 counties in California), white non-Latinos represent about one third of the population now. Consider that Los Angeles County has an official population of over 10,000,000 people which is more than the entire population of any single state except for seven. Some of the cities in Los Angeles now have very small white non-Latino populations falling from over 90% to as low as 1.65%. Los Angeles County must rely on aid from the State of California to survive even as their deficit continues to grow at an alarming rate. Many of those cities with low white non-Latino populations are in fiscal trouble as well. Unless something is done, this will become the blueprint for the nation. Especially after the 77 million aging baby-boomers pass into their retirement years and eventually out of the picture.

Won't you help by writing your elected representatives and reminding them that:

1. The United States Must Secure Its Borders.

Border Security Is The Basic Responsibility Of A Sovereign Nation And An Urgent Requirement Of Our National Security.

2. We Must Hold Employers Accountable For The Workers They Hire.

No Temporary Worker Program is needed. We have 40,000,000 citizens in this country living below the poverty line and the magnet of jobs and free social care must end for non-citizens.

3. We Must Bring Undocumented Workers Already In The Country Out Of The Shadows.

.. and send them home. Consider asking elected representatives to provide foreign aid to ease the transition of homeward bound illegals. We've spent hundreds of billions of dollars policing Iraq and hundreds of billions of dollars in social costs just for illegal aliens in this country. It is a bargain to spend a few billion a year influencing governments like Mexico which failed to provide for their own people to finally take on that responsibility. It's money well spent assisting the illegals readjust, something we should take seriously, and we will save much more than that many times over once the illegals have left.

4. We Must Promote Assimilation Into Our Society By Teaching New Immigrants English And American Values.

.. and end chain migration by illegals that seek to give birth on US soil as well as reverse immigration quotas.

In closing, Neo-conservatives have allowed this situation to occur because it brings a populace of cheap labor they can exploit for shareholder profit. Many modern corporations have broken the contract they once held with the American worker abandoning their commitment to building a strong United States of America first and foremost taking on an identity of a global nature that plants it's flag however and wherever it is most profitable for them to do so in the short to medium term for their shareholders.

Modern liberals support it because it fits their ideology of codependency and brings them greater political power. Neither are good for the country on many levels beyond just the reasons I give here.

Both Neo-conservatives and modern Liberals have inflicted this nation-wrecking paradigm upon us in disregard of this nation's citizens long term best interests leading one to wonder if, in their haste, did they ever actually sit down and seriously contemplate what makes for good citizens. Certainly in the opinion of many it should be more than just being born on a patch of soil by those whose loyalty is to a foreign country or the result of government waving a magic wand and making those who come to this country illegally instant citizens while law abiding immigrants choose instead to wait in line and work through that process.

The typical Mexican immigrant doesn't care about any of that. They just want to work and make some money. It's mostly just middle class Mexican-American college students that are talking all this reconquista sh*t.

Somebody at The Paleo Conservatist I reckon. And I've been looking up the history and it's not inaccurate.

personally i think all that "this was our land first" is stupid. Mexico lost the land, all is fair in love and war.
