Jennifer Hudson's nephew - gang sign?

There are two photos from Jennifer Hudson's myspace of the 7 year old nephew that was murdered in Chicago. In the photos he is doing a hand sign of some sort. It is clearly not the pitch fork of the gangster disciples, but what is he doing.

There are some that believe he may be mimicking what he seen around the house. The ex boyfriend of Jennifer Hudson's sister is in custody, William Balfour, 27, is a Gangster Disciple but I also heard that Jason Hudson, 29 the brother that was murdered was a GD too.

He looks like he's flashing the sign of the bloods/BPS from out here in L.A. Keep in mind, the Bps are originally from Chicago, and I've seen the Jungle bloods flash that hand sign.
