Trinitarios gang members get life sentences for murder

"The five attackers who murdered Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz last June were sentenced to life in prison on Friday, October 11, 2019 in Bronx Criminal Court. After reviewing the surveillance video from June 20, 2018, Bronx judge Robert Neary delivered the sentences to Jonaika Martinez Estrella, Elvin Garcia, Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago, Miguel Rivera and Jose Muniz, all of whom were reported members of the Trinitarios street gang.

Jose Muniz, 23, Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago, 25, and Elvin Garcia, 25, will be eligible for parole after they serve 25 years, and Miguel Rivera will be eligible for parole after serving 23 years. Martinez Estrella, 25, who Judge Neary deemed the "executioner" of the headline-grabbing murder, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Footage from the attack shows that Martinez Estrella, 25, was the one who stabbed and ultimately killed, 15 year old Lesandro "Junior" Guzman Feliz.

During the attack, the five suspects followed Guzman-Feliz into the Cruz and Chiky bodega in Belmont and grabbed him as he struggled, then they dragged him towards the door. Guzman-Feliz yelled for help, and he can be seen on video clinging to the door frame amid the assault. Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz was stabbed several times in the neck, and managed to flee to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The attackers yelled "Popote, hasta la muerte" or "Trinitarios until death!"

Guzman-Feliz's parents were also present in court on Friday, October 11, 2019, both of whom still struggle with the loss of their child everyday. "Here I am, a mother without my son, an innocent 15 year old boy who was not a gang member." Lisandro Guzman's father added that "the gang members deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, you deserved to be punished for causing so much pain, you are the poster children for danger to society."

I've seen the footage of this murder aswell, its posted online with a simple search, anyway, poor kid, in the video hes just standing outside of a store minding his business, when these trinitarios run up to him and chase him into the store, the owner persuades him to get out of his store, then these guys drag him outside and stab him, he gets up and you can see him dripping heavy amounts of blood as he runs and then the video ends, it says he made it to a hospital but eventually died of his injuries due to heavy blood loss.
